how much did would you spend on a wedding band? (jewlery..not music).
is 1500 about normal for one iwth diamonds?? and platinum?

I would say for platinum and diamonds, yes, that sounds on point. it depends on how many diamonds, but platinum is a more expensive metal than gold, so that will bump up the cost.
my e-ring is platinum, but we did white gold wedding rings (mine with diamonds) - we spent around $1400 (for both).

the jeweler was talking us out of getting white gold for band...pushing the platinum so it matches my E ring...do you think it REALLY matters??? Just seems like ton of money. FH ring is only 500.
