FI and i went to fortunoff to look at bands for him. The woman that worked there told me that we should not even consider a white gold band for him ($150) because it will turn yellow and that we should do platinum ($1650). I don't care and would just as soon do platinum but I went out with a couple last night and they said that FI should get White gold, that their jeweler recommended it and that we are being taken by opting for the white gold. They said white gold is def better for a guy cause it wont get dinged and scratched because it is a stronger metal. Any advice????

Both my e-ring and wedding band is platinum and I would not have it any other way.
So if your FH got you white gold, you would not have accepted it??

Our jeweler recommended white gold for my husbands ring because platinum was so much more expensive.
