Alright so I am thinking about having a brunch for my reception. What do you all think? I want a dj there too. Do you think that people would still dance and have a good time? I was speaking with a friend and she thinks that most people probably wouldn't dance.

Re: Wedding Brunch(Anyone have/or having one)
I watched one of the wedding shows on the WE channel and the couple did just what you want to do. They rented a small lounge/club with an outside area and had a bunch of finger foods and the lounge chairs and bar tables that were already there. Then you can dance and socialize without taking a whole lof time out for a sit down dinner. I would love to go to a wedding like that!

my friend is doing a cocktail hour the whole time. There is no assigned seating and les tables so everyone cant sit at once. I was told that it cost more. I think it is a cool idea.

Does it really cost more?

I know the de Seversky Center offers the cocktail style reception. There was another post where someone said a lot of RH do it. Definitely call around. There are plenty of ways to make your wedding different and unique. FH felt the same way.
