So far we are not sticking to our budget, The RH itself is costing us the entire first budget we set for ourselves so we went back to the drawing tables and increased by $10k. I'm soo bad with budgeting, if I want something I go and get it and I suffer the consequences later!
But on the same token we have a good handful of people helping out here and there(ie. My parents thru us a suprise engagement party and my MOH is paying for our STD, My mom is paying for my dress....) Soooo hopefully if we get a little out of hand we won't be the ones to pay for it .

Re: Wedding Budgets
we didnt include the e-party bc my parents gave us that as a gift. Our budget so far is around 50K but my parents are paying the RH so me and FH have about 25K on us to pay....so far we're doing pretty good with that so far
that's not including my dress....gift from parents too (gotta love being the only girl) I'm lucky that my parents are so helpful

Re: Wedding Budgets
we made a budget but we didnt stick to it with everything. Somethings were over some where under. So now we made a list of everything, vendors and what is owed to them and then the other things we havent bought yet.... i put the max i would spend on it so at least we know our max of the wedding. we actaully just did this over the weekend and we have the wedding and HM paid off... now each month we r going to pay off a different vendor

Re: Wedding Budgets
We wanted to have a budget of $20k and would love to stick to it (honeymoon being the exception). But the catering halls are killing us. We've decided to wait on them again. It's hard waiting, but I've called for dates this Nov, and you can't believe the savings, so hopefully we'll get a beautiful place. I'm crossing my fingers.
It's nice to know we aren't alone on the tight budgets. To us we'd rather put the money to our future. We want a family right away. Can't wait

yeah I don't think it will work. Cause everytime I look at something expensive for the wedding I keep saying to myself 'well if I can't afford it mommy and daddy will understand that its my day and I have to have it!' I'm such a brat!!!!

Re: Wedding Budgets
we are really lucky that my parents are paying for the wedding, and the fils are paying for the eparty and honeymoon.. my parents want to stay under 30,000 for the wedding.. and the honeymoon we dont want to go over 7,000 not including food since most likely we arent doing all inclusive.
so far weve been doing really good and staying on track. i hope we can keep it up

Re: Wedding Budgets
I didn't receive the budget until after i booked the Woodbury CC. My parents are budgetting us $30k and his parents are giving us $10k. That includes everything except our Honeymoon which we will pay for ourselves.
I have booked the RH, Photo and Flowers and i think i may stay within one thousand of our final budget if i ever book everything!

We made a budget and FH is A-N-A-L with money, so he puts his foot down when I start wanting to spend.

We are also on a budget. I have an excel sheet with everything we spent, and how much everything costs us. We right down everything we are spending. This seems to help us alot.
We haven't done a budget yet - we just got engaged, BUT I love excel spreadsheets - FH thinks I'm crazy when I make up budget sheets for things, but they're so helpful!!!

I heard somewhere that what ever your budget is, to expect to go over by about 10% of that ammount
