Having trouble finding a bakery to make a delicious wedding cake. I know there are quite a few out there, but I'm looking for something really special (taste wise), I dont wan't just pound cake and filling...I really want the cake to be superb from the inside and outside. Anyone have recommendations for bakeries in LI, NYC, Brooklyn ? I've already had a tasting at La Bonne Boulangerie & Baku Bakery in Brooklyn neigther of which impressed me taste wise the least bit. Advice?? Maybe a french bakery? or who can do red velvet really well?

I'm getting mine at Black Forest Bakery in Lindenhurst... (rainbow cookie cake)
but my friend got hers from Madame Butterfly Bakery in Babylon.... it was to die for delicious!
I'd recommend either!

Unfortunately our bakery is on LI, but check it out- Dortoni's. I was floored by the cake! YUM!

Check out Baked to Perfection in Port Washington. They did the cakes for my wedding, my shower, my sister's shower and my groom's cake. Pics are in my albums. The baker there is rated as one of the top ten pastry chefs in the country.
