The hall is suppling us with a cake but I was wondering if I should use that one or go to an ouside bakery for one. Any suggestions? What are you all doing?

Yup - I think you should look through the hall's books first and see what they have before looking outside. We have to cut costs in some places to make up for going over budget on others.

Re: WEDDING CAKES
Mine was included also but the baker was create-a-cake and we had to pick the one we wanted. I would find out who is supplying the cake for the hall.

Re: WEDDING CAKES
Before we signed the contract we had a whole conversation about the cake, b/c I want a carrot cake w/ cream cheese icing. I was told it isn't a problems and saw a book w/ all they're designs, etc. They sid they could do pretty much anything I wanted w/o getting too crazy (at which point they would charge me more $$).
I am also having a groom's cake that I'm getting from Hey-cookie.

My hall includes a cake, but the cake I fell in love with they could not do. So I am going with an outside baker.

I am going to go with the cake the hall is providing. I figure, how bad can it be. The cake is not that important to me, so for me, anything will be fine
