Re: WEdding centers

i got a great price from wedding center in commack, and will be using them for photo/video, invites, limo, BP flowers, and some other stuff. a BM of mine used them for her photo/video and i loved her album

i also agree not to use them for alterations on dresses though

I'm using Wedding World in Commack for my BM dresses at Helen's Boutique - they were recommended to me by Windows on the Lake Reception Hall.

Wedding World and Wedding Center are two different places and unfortunately Wedding World takes a hit for Wedding Center's bad name. Helens is a very reputable saloon that was in the City at one point and then moved onto LI, first on Main St. in Bayshore and now at their current location. I know the owner very well for years. He did my sisters wedding and he is doing mine as well. I have had no problems and great service, even before the ladies knew that I knew the owner.

I can not say anything about the rest of the services because I haven't used any of them yet, but Helens is great.

If you did not sign a contract yet, Dont!! They treat you like personal friend when you come in, once you sign the contract your a dime a dozen. Its all commercial after that, not personal. Their packages seem great, until you contact the vendors. For EX: The DJ wants $150 for the cocktail hour and same if your having a cermony. TWC charges you $75 dollars delivery plus tax for flowers. ETC, ETC. They talk their way out off everything about all their hidden costs. Worst of all they have to much to say and opinions on what you want.

Don't get used to it. I loved TWC and even cancelled my contract with my vendors and signed a contract with the wedding center. Package #8. Couldn't be more excited. Then after signing the contract, I became a dime a dozen. Great place if you like commercial, not personal assistance. ALOT of hidden fees in packages, vendors provide bare minimum which makes you have to spend extra money. I am binded to them and was very saddened by there hidden charges, and know it all comments. Did some research after the fact only to find out that everyone that I knew that dealt with them felt the same. Be ready to count all of your invitations by yourself when they come in, every envelope, reponnse, etc. Lets just say 100 invitations=900 papers to count.

hmmmmm---a newbie poster who joined this month and only has 3 posts and is named 'Ripped Off'?? sounds like a troll to me--perhaps a vendor who is against all wedding centers!

What kind of reply is that? I am a new poster. I have been so upset with the amout of money I have spent and treatment I have recieved . I wanted to post my experience with TWC to maybe help other couples from making the same mistake.

Good luck with your wedding. By the way, why do you post if you can't handle feedback?

Re: WEdding centers

No, TWC stands for The Wedding Center. Sorry, if you took it the wrong way. Just be careful with where you book, sales is sales. They use their 'family business' as their line to make them look family orientated people who care about your special day. Money is Money, don't get let down
GOOD LUCK

MY FIANCE AND I ARE USING WEDDING WORLD IN COMMACK, NY FOR OUR LIMOS, INVITATIONS, FLOWERS, AND PHOTOGRAPHY. I HEAR A LOT OF MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT THE PLACE. HAS ANYONE HAD AN EXPERIENCE WITH THEM GOOD OR BAD I WOULD APPRECIATE THE FEEDBACK. THANK YOU.

WEDDING DATE: JAN 28, 2007
