hi, is anyone on this board paying for their wedding themselves or are parents (& future inlaws) helping you out??
if your parents are helping you out, what are you paying for???

We are paying for most of it: reception, honeymoon, rehearsal dinner, band, flowers, favors, invites, bm and gm gifts, . . . My FIs mom and stepdad are paying for the photographer. My FIs dad and stepmom aren't giving us anything - not even an engagement card!! My parents are giving money as they can, they also bought my dress and they paid the depo at the hall.

We paid for 70-75% of our wedding ourselves.
My parents bought my dress and jewelry, paid for hair & makeup for me and my sisters, hosted a post-wedding brunch and gave us $$ towards the wedding. (they also bought out our registry - my mom couldn't control herself - we got a gift every month up until the wedding. now she's trying to hold back until our 6 month anniversary).
My in-laws hosted the rehersal dinner, bought my husband's tux, did all the girls alterations, made my veil, flower girl dress and ring pillow, and gave us $$ towards the wedding.

My parents are paying for the reception and his parents are paying for the band, photographer, and flowers. We are paying for the rest ourselves.

we are paying EVERY dime ourselves, except for my gown and veil, my mom bought
my parents paid for 1/2...but we had a pretty expensive wedding...my sister is getting the same amont from my parents and it will cover 90% of her costs...

My parents are paying for most of the wedding. FIL are paying for flowers and rehearsal dinner. Both moms are paying for the shower.
I'm paying for my accessories (shoes, tiara, veil, makeup, etc).
Dave and I are paying for our honeymoon and bridal party gifts

My parents paid for the band, limo, & flowers. My In-Laws paid for our Honeymoon and the Rehearsal dinner.
We paid for everything else ourselves.

Our parents are paying two-thirds, and we are paying about a third. They basically gave us money that I keep in a separate account to pay bills as they come. In laws are paying for RD.

My parents are paying for the reception, dj, flowers, dress and photographer. We are picking up the videographer, invites, limos and the rest of the little odds and ends. His dad just told us last night that he is giving us a few thousand towards the wedding. He already gave us some money which my mom told me to just keep and put towards a house, but this time I am definately going to give it to my parents since they have had a rough year financially.

the hall alone is costing a total of about 21,000 with service charge and the extra's we are getting. His dad is giving us 5K and my dad is paying for the rest. (even though his dad is loaded and mine is not) - we are paying for everything else, which comes to a total of about 10K, not including the honeymoon or my dress/accessories/alterations.
