sunday instead of saturday No limos rehearsal cocktail hour at my brothers instead of RD No extras (sushi bar, bathroom baskets etc) Still debating whether to switch my band for a DJ but I am REALLY in love with my band . wanted to treat my BP to hair/makeup but really can't Way cheaper invites - we were going to do ourselves but that was actually going to cost us MORE!

Re: Wedding cutbacks?
We didn't go for a full viennese, we're doing the cheesecake thing instead. We're also trying to keep our guest list very close to the guaranteed minimum as possible. We're not getting paper proofs from our photog. We're negotiating with vendors. Our OOT guests are SOL if they think they're getting baskets. No slippers. No upgrades or extras beyond the cheesecake unless it's being thrown in for free. Simple wedding bands, nothing blingy. Overall, just being very frugal and responsible with our decisions...except for invites and makeup thus far

Re: Wedding cutbacks?
I REALLY wanted a photo booth but that's too much so we're not doing that. No menus, slipper or bathroom baskets, OOT baskets, no video (FBIL is doing it for us), no Viennese Hour, we're using the RH cake, no bells and whistles for the DJ, and minimal limos. And we're doing a cruise instead of a Sandals or Italy, which were our two original dream ideas. We may still do table cameras, I haven't decided. We have 2 photogs so we may not need them. I also would have liked to get nicer boxes and ribbon for my favors but at this point, i can't justify the cost.

I'm not doing lots of things: no slipper baskets, no bathroom baskets, not upgrading the dj to have all the bells and whistles, etc. you have to because honestly, we have a house, and I don't want to go broke!!
Totally agree with you and most of your guests dont even realize that you didn't do these things. Whats the point of going broke over these things when the guests dont care.Im not having a bathroom basket either. I'm also thinking about no disposable cameras on each table...lol
I needed the basket at FH's sister wedding. The strap on my dress broke and I needed the sewing kit!

I was going to do a cake topper and didn't. I am putting flowers on it instead. And I was giving wine favors but now I am not.

Re: Wedding cutbacks?
I plan on doing the bathroom and slipper baskets bc those can be done for cheap and guests DO love them (target dollar aisle, baby).
We arn't having extra lighting/plasmas with the DJ, only simply pew bows at the church, I'm ebaying lots of stuff (gorgeous monogram letter cake topper for $15) and I'm DIYing a lot.
