Wedding Day Pictures...

Wedding Day Pictures...

I really wanted wedding pictures on the beach, but I live in Queens and the reception is at Jericho Terrace, so the beaches are REALLY far (unless there's a closer one that I don't know of) and I'm scared its going to be too long of a ride. Where is everyone else taking their pics?

I live in Queens and my RH is very close to yours. I am having the same concerns. I liked Long Island City and you get the city skyline but I am still trying to come up with more ideas. Old Westbury Gardens is always an option (my sis took her piks there so I am not crazu abpout doing the same thing). Hopefull the girls give us some good ideas!

I was thinking about Old Westbury Gardens, but on their website it says you can't go in after 4:00, is that for Brides too? I might give them a call tomrrow. Do you know how much they charge?
At first I didn't realyl want to go the whole 'garden' route, but I feel there might not be many more options????

I think my sister went at about 3:30. I can ask her how much she paid. It was 2007 but defintely under 500.

There are some nice areas Garden City too I think and that is close to our halls. If you want edgy pik - graffiti/skyline.etc definetely consider LIC. I also may take some piks at a bar. I though that could be different and fun! I bet we could check out the parks in queens too!

Im getting married at my RH so we will be taking pictures there. I would have liked to have gone somewhere else but, unless the budget calls for limos there's nothing I can do.

I know its not the beach by any means but on your way to Jericho Turnpike maybe you can stop in West Hempstead & take pics at Hall's Pond Park. Its very pretty has a beautiful pond with a bridge & a gazebo all for great pics. It even has a woodsy looking area. Its about 11 acres. Just a suggestion Good Luck!

I know this maynot be an idea beach but what about Rockaway Beach.? The only thing with the beach is during the summer it will be packed.

Hmm... there is a beach up in the Glen Head/ Roslyn area... it's actually right near my RH so it might not be too far... I'm going to do some research and get back to you.

ETA: Ok it's called Tappen Beach in Sea Cliff/ Glenwood Landing. But it's still about 20 mins from JT.

What about Belle Harbor/Rockaway beach. During the summer its VERY crowded from 116-130 but hten if you head into nuponsit, you can have a basically empty beach...

Just take the marine parkway bridge. I grew up tehre and I love it.. The beach also has white sand.
We were going there but fh wants the 'historic' pictures of coney islands board walklol

I actually love the idea of the skyline!!!! My cousin had pictures taken there and it was BEAUTIFUL!! Now, why didn't I think of that?

The bar would DEF make some memorable pics..and with Angelica Glass they'd be AMAZING..I def say you should go for it!!

Forest Park in Queens is really beautiful actually, and they have a Carousel ... thats where my mom suggested I take them...
