Ladies me and my FH cannot choose between Friday or Sunday. I think my ONLY thing against Friday is that then my wedding is over by Saturday morning. It is no longer my wedding 'weekend' it is my wedding 'night'. is that dumb thinking? We have so much family flying in and its like my wedding will be over saturday and now I have to amuse other people.
NOW, as for the venue we are considering, we def want to enjoy the outside at night because it is absoultely amazing to us. So our Sunday 4-9 wedding is not an option.
THUS! Can you please help me choose...

Personally, I would prefer going to a wedding on a Friday night rather than a SUnday night knowing I had to be at work the next morning. I guess I understand your thoughts about your 'Wedding weekend' but I don't really agree. I say friday for sure.

If you have a lot of OOT guests it might to hard for them to do a Sunday night and get back home. It's one of the reasons we chose the Sunday 'twilight' but if that doesn't work for you I would say do it on Friday, If you want a wedding weekend maybe you can plan a post wedding brunch for Saturday.

Friday night all the way!!! You still have the weekend to do whatever you want whereas on Sunday, people have work to go to on Monday.

I voted Sunday night (as a guest) because I am the type of person to take the following Monday off work so I can enjoy my friends / family members wedding

I would definitely go with a Friday over Sunday. who says it has to be over after Friday?? You can organize a brunch for the next day and maybe even a post celebration if you are staying at a hotel with your guests, stay for the whole weekend and partaaay!!

Friday over Sunday because people can sleep late the next day :) unless it is a holiday weekend, then i choose sunday!

It will still be your wedding weekend if you get married on a Friday. If you have family in you will be celebrating all weekend for you guys! We were married on a Saturday evening but that Moday was presidents day so everyone had off & all of my family stayed until Mon. or Tues. We left for HM on Tues so on Sunday we had a huge' We are just married' party that my Aunt threw for us, since they wanted my parents to rest & have fun too. It was great!
I would rather go to an evening wedding on a Fri then Sun. As you know you have to work the next day. Also many people end up leaving early on sunday weddings because of this so a wedding until 1am is almost a waste. JMO. GOOD LUCK : )

Friday night, definitely. I think it's inconsiderate if you make it a late Sunday wedding. Not everyone has the option or may want to take the Monday after your wedding off.

Friday!! We were between Friday and Sunday as well. Sunday was cheaper but I didn't want guest to work the next day. Friday a lot of people worry about people going to their church. We are getting married at the RH at 6pm so that's not a huge problem. All out OOT guest would be missing a day or 2 of work either way. Do what makes you happy! You can alway do something Saturday. Also I figure more people would hang out after on a friday and we can leave for our honeymoon sunday.

You're wedding will actually last all weekend too. Wedding friday...after party, party all day Sat & Sun!
Maybe do a brunch or breakfast or something for the OOTers! Sounds like fun!

I would say Friday night if those are the options because, like everyone else mentioned, people have to work the next day usually.

For me def Friday night. I would not stay till 1am on a Sunday night bc I have work early the next morning.

i vote friday night weddding. At least with a Friday night wedding, you still have Saturday to recover vs. a Sunday night.

thanks ladies. FH wants Friday night too. We would likely be married on Sept 2. So it is a holiday weekend. But that Sunday isnt available. I am a little owrried about labor day weekend though because flights will be more expensive and stuff, BUT it will be a partying weekend as it is! =)

personally, friday weddings are nice. sunday is hard for people who work on monday. you can always have a wedding weekend with family until sunday then leave for your honeymoon monday?

Yeah. I guess my concern is that the FH family (a lot of them) have never been to NY. So I dont wanna get married then play 'tour guide' for the remainder of my weekend. But Friday sounds better for a lot of reasons.
