Wedding Dieters

Wedding Dieters

How much weight is everyone down, how much more do you have to go, and what are you doing to get there?

As of today I am down 12 pounds (since April), I've been doing WW online. I also did the 9 day Isagenix cleanse (its really 11 days though because of 2 pre cleansing days). I finished the cleanse exactly a week ago, and since then, manually lowered my WW daily points from 22 to 20.
I am 6 pounds away from goal weight!!
I've also been really consistent at the gym, going 4 times a week.
After the wedding I plan to maintain this super healthy lifestyle and weight. I feel good and it isn't hard to stick to.

I have to admit I didn't diet and I didn't work out at all but I somehow lost alot of weight..(no complaining here)... I want to lose another 8 pounds I think. I should really start working out, I promised myself I would get toned for the wedding but I have been so busy

can you FM me info about the cleanse you did. I have been looking for something to do for a while but never found a good one.

Great job by the way!

I'm down around 10lbs and wish to lose at least 15 lbs more. I've gotten used to exercising and enjoy it for the most part but sometimes i feel so tired i just do 30 minutes instead of an 1 hour or just workout at home if i dont feel like trekking to the gym.

I was down 12 (from April) but thanks to a stomach virus I GAINED back 5. I couldn't stomach anything but bread a gatorade for a few weeks. I cut out sugars (except fruit) Monday and have been doing 45 minutes of cardio and 30-45 minutes of strenght training and/or yoga per day and I am down 2 lbs. I really hope I can keep this up. I would like to lose another 7-8 but I am not sure if that is realistic. I am disappointed in myself.

Gloria 30 minutes is still great!!

Plus if you do a really intense 30 minutes it can be as effective as a moderate hour.

Don't be down!! You can do it. Try to get your carbs and fruits in early, and then after 3pm stick to lean protein and veggies.
For evening snacks I'm OBSESSED WITH jello sugar free puddings. There's so many amazing flavors (banana fudge is my fave!) and they're 60 calories and zero sugar.

AHHHH I too am obsessed with the sugar free Jello. I put a little cool whip on top and it puts a smile on my face lol. I love the caramel delight fiber one cereal with fresh blueberries too! Thanks for the kind words. I was so on a roll, it is so hard to bounce back.

I agree. Plateaus totally s-u-c-k. I hit a plateau for a month, trust me. Its a matter of consistency and not getting de-railed.

My trainer I work out with says your body & weight is 90% diet. Exercise is all for your shape and muscle tone. So all the exercise you do definitely helps, but its the adjustments made to your diet that make the biggest impact.
See we need to keep each other motivated!

Re: Wedding Dieters

I am down about 10 pounds since January but about 30 total pounds from when I first start working out and eating right last year. I started working wiht a nutritionist in January who specializes in figure competitors. (Not that I want to compete but I wanted that lean look) He created a plan for me that outlined the amount of protein, fat and carbohydrates I needed per day. As my goals changed and my weight changed we changed the plan accordingly. I did what is called carbohydrate cycling for about 3 months and really saw some great results. I lift weights 3 times a week and do 3 cardio sessions consisting of 20 minutes of interval training. I suffered from an eating disorder for years and always had a distorted body image and I was totally afraid that I would be uncomfortable and disappointed in the way I looked at our wedding. Working with this nutritionist was the best thing I coul have done for myself...I have never been happier with my physical appearance! FM if you want his info or want to see before and after pics!

I truly believe that weight loss is 90% diet and only 10% exercise. Both are important, but a strong, consistent diet will really help!

Re: Wedding Dieters

My goal was to lose 10 and I'm halfway there with 2 months to go. I tried WW but because I wasn't overweight to start, I got almost no points and was literally starving to death. I quit and switched to sensible, clean eating and lost 5 so far. Now, with only 2 months to go, I am eating as little as possible and suffering but I will reach my goal (and then totally pig out every single day of my honeymoon

Re: Wedding Dieters

From the beginning of this year I've lost about 20 pounds and I want to lose another 10. I did WW for a while but wasn't seeing the results I needed to see so I joined a gym and got a trainer. Now I work with my trainer for 30 minutes three times a week and do an hour of cardio at least 5 days a week. Plus I probably drink my weight in water every day and I dont drink anything with calories except alcohol, and when I do that it's in moderation.

I've found that when I'm hungry at night, I'm usually just tired so instead of eating, I brush my teeth and go to sleep! This usually works, although I have gone to bed way before 9:00 several times because I knew it was better than pigging out!

Congrats to all the other success stories of our 09 brides!
