I was just thinking... I planned to start going to Bridal stores to try on and purchase dresses the first week of October. I'm not going to order it i'm going to try to get it off the rack. My wedding is 4/14. Do you guys think that 6 months is OK? Maybe I should plan the second week in Sept. I'm trying to wait until the last minute. Due to medical reasons I gained some weight and can't work out until Aug.1st. Whatcha think?
I agree, only because certain designers take 6 months just to ship (most dresses are made out of the country). They need to pass through customs, which can take some extra time. I would start shopping earlier and let the sales girl who measures you know that you are planning on losing weight (aren't we all - LOL)
I was hoping you guys wouldn't say that! I have problems with alterations already. You know what.. you are all correct. I am normally a size 7/8 or 9/10 and being that size I have to order an 18 dress bc I am a 40 B/C. I guess no matter what they are going to have to do some serious alterations anyway. I just never thought of it from that perspective! I better get my mom up here so we can go shopping! Thanks!

Re: Wedding Dress
Go shopping now!!!!!!
I lost 20 pounds in the 6 weeks before my wedding. That's what alterations are for.
