I chose strapless. No offense to anyone out there, I hate Halters and always have. I just don't find it flattering on many people at all. IMO

I choose strapless... but it totally depends on what looks good on you! There were some strapless dresses that had a lot of frill going on top...while it was pretty it wasn't flattering on me. I think you should try on all types of dresses and see what looks best on you/

Mine is strapless. I had always said I was going to get a halter, but then I tried on strapless and just liked the way they looked better.

imho, it would really depend on the style. there are a lot of strapless gowns bec its a popular style but i've seen several beautiful halter-top gowns thav i really like.

I love halters, but I think strapless has a more elegant look (depending on the dress). Plus, you can wear a nicer necklace!!

I wanted a halter but when I tried them on - they were so heavy around the neck . By the end of the night I think you neck would be killing you. You want to be confortable through out the night. Go for the strapless

I say strapless - but go with whatever look best on you!

strapless.
Whatever looks the best and you feel more comfy in.

I chose strapless...I found when trying on dresses that the halter top just made my chest look bigger...and there's definitely no need for that!!

i usually am all for halter especailly for women with a bigger chest, (like me!) but when i was trying on dresses the halter dresses actually made my chest look bigger so i opted for strappless.

halter hurts my neck... and id rather have the freedom to not have something hanging around my neck....jmo

I always wear strapless so when it came time to pick a dress it was a no brainer.

You pick what you like and what your comfortable in

you have to see how each of them looks on you.. i tried both and bc of my small frame, i felt like the halter looked like too much on me... but i know they are great for girls who are bigger on top... its more of a personal decision so im not going to vote

I am obviously way in the minority, but I love halters. I have no chest and have never found a strapless that I was comfortable in, not matter how well it was fitted. The style of my dress was originally strapless and I actually had a halter strap added!

I prefer halter over stapless becaue of the security that the dress with not fall or tugging on it during the course of the day.

I got strapless.... BUT... its a corset top and it isnt going anywhere... i have a big chest and its important that im not uncomfortable around my family... i dont want to look down and be able to see anything because then I think everyone else can see them too...

I was looking at halters for the most part... most of the ones i tried on made me look bigger than i actually was...
