HI girls...help I am bugging out. I just called to check on the status of my dress. I ordered it in Jan after not being happy with my first dress selection. Anyway when I called they said the dress would not be in until around June 4th...my wedding is July 10th. I just don't know what to do...I am so scared that something is going to go wrong. I called the store and they called the manufacturer and they said it may come in a little earlier but they cant gaurentee...do you think it is going to be a problem with fittings?????

Re: wedding dress issue
just don't gain any weight. My dress also ended up coming in very late. I didn't realize that I would need to lose weight and by the time the dress came in, I was in hysterics.

Re: wedding dress issue
I am not really worried about my weight and the dress being too small...I know the dress is going to be big. Thats why I am worried... I am very peitite and the dress is going to need to be taken in and shortened a lot. I am just concerend with alterations and bustle in that amount of time.

I know how you are feeling. When my dress was shipped to the STORE it was the wrong one mine was never made. THey had to reorder it. It is suppose to be shipped the end of May. I am just nervous that it will be the wrong one again and I will be in trouble. I think the dress store will accomidate you with having enough time getting it fitted. Mine better!

Re: wedding dress issue
I don't know if this will help, but my cousin picked up her dress the day before I her wedding & when we got hoem we saw that the hem wasn't finished so we brouht it back & she fixed it right then & there. So, if need be, alterations CAN be done quickly. My first fitting is only a month before my wedding and while it was made to length, the rest invludignthe bustle has to be done, & this is status quo for them.
Just make sure the salon gives you priority appointments for fittings.

Re: wedding dress issue
i don't plan on getting fitted until about 2-3 weeks before... i am going to need a fitting like 3 days before! my weight fluctuates
i am sure it will be fine.... the seamstress probably do the fitting in one day
