So I wanted to know if anyone has started to do the gown trying on. I went last Saturday with my mother, 2 BM's and my MOH. I just want to tell you, I want to kill my mother! Everything I picked was not to her taste and she would make this nasty faces to the point I didn't even want to try anymore on. javascript:FEmote('');
So my point is, if you haven't gone yet, go with your close friends or MOH. I went Monday with 2 BM's and my MOH again and I fell IN LOVE with a dress that will most likely be my dress. Any other experiences?

um yea I'm psycho & went shopping the week after we got engaged! haha (We got engaged Christmas day) & yes I ordered my dress already..back in March. I didn't want it to be discontinued & I need to know what I'm wearing..it's part of my psychotic planning process..I just don't even have a desire to look at any others & any I have seen do nothing for me like mine does. It hasn't come in yet & I hope it doesn't for a while..don't want it to sit & rot for that long haha But I know when I love something that's just it! So I dodn't listen to anyone & did what I want & I've never had a doubt since :) Good luck!!!

LOL I'm psycho too! We got engaged in March and was itching to go dress shopping. I did good and put it off till August. I'm going in October to another salon that carries the same dress because the place I went to on Monday night was just a bit shady. Only good out come for that place was the dress I tried on I never would have tried if the girl wasn't like try this, it will look good on your body. I did and I fell in love! Best of luck to you!

I was engaged in June and went with 2 of my BM in Buffalo in August of last year, and in Nashville at Christmas (my mom and sister both live down there). I have another BM flying in next weekend to go hit up a couple salons. I found my dress in Buffalo last year, but when I called them up this summer- they told me they no longer have that dress! So this time, I am not messing around- if I find it, Im buying it! I just can't imagine getting my wedding dress without my mom being there, but its just too hard to get her up here!

I haven't gone dress shopping yet..I want to wait until the new year (when I have some extra $$) in case I find a dress I love and want to put the deposit down so I can still get it.

I actually already got my dress!
I went shopping with my mom just to look and I fell in love with this designer gown. I was scared it wouldn't be around by the time I was going to actually buy a dress. My mom ended up buying it for me (she loved it so much she started crying when she saw it on me lol)
We ordered it in March, it came in early June. I am sooo glad we ordered it because it's not in the new catalog and I asked about it when i was shopping the other day and they said they don't make them anymore!

I too found my dress in May! I'm not frequently up in NY so when I was home my mom and I went 'to just look' and see what styles I liked. We ended up finding a gorgeous dress, and you really couldn't beat that price for that dress. So I was a little apprehensive about putting a deposit down on a dress in the first store i went to but honestly it was perfect and so unique so we did. They told me it could take up to 8 months to come in though so i'm glad we did it then!! I later brought back my grandmother to see it and she loved it too. My MOH unfortunately is in canada so she couldnt' make it.

I haven't even started looking yet. I plan to wait until at the earliest January/ February so I can have some extra $$$ and also so I can shed a few pounds
I'm dreading it already because I'm very picky about anything I have to wear as is my mother, MOH, and BMs... I have no salvation
