so as some of you may know, my stupid wedding dress shop (charmet in bayside) is closing this month. (i was not aware of this is january when i ordered the dress. sigh. ) anyway, i have to pick up my dress this month but my wedding isnt til august 3. the dress people say it will stay ok in the heavy duty zippered plastic bag they keep it in in the store, but im not so sure. i am worried as hell about holding on to this dress until AUGUST. will it turn yellow? do any of you know what kind of bag i should get if plastic isnt good? ugh god i am freaking.

I think you'll be okay. I've had my dress hanging in the bag in my closet for months and it still looks totally white (I like to check on it a lot!)

i bought my dress last may as a sample so i had to take it home when i bought it. we kept it in a white plastic bag and closed it tight and it was fine.

I bought my dress in February 2006 for my April 2007 wedding and my dress never turned yellow (it sat in my closet for over a year).

wow i had no idea that dresses turn yellow if they sit in the closet for a few months? Good to know.

It will be fine!!! I've had my dress for MONTHS and it is fine. As long as you keep it in the garment bag you'll be fine!!

wrap the dress in an old sheet...keep it in its bag out of direct sunlight and you'll be fine...it won't yellow..no worries

I think it should be fine. My dress came in, in April and I am not wearing it until July. At the salon, they appear to have it only in the clear zip up bag.
