I ordered mine 9 months before the wedding. I ordered it in June and it's still not in!!

i got mine only about 8 months before and i got told by EVERY single bridal shop i went to that i NEEDED to get it ASAP!!!

The goal is to have the dress 6-8 weeks before the wedding that way you can be ready to go for fittings. Some designers take about 6 months to come in...so I would really try to order by 8 or 9 months before the wedding!

I ordered mine in July for my Sept wedding.. I just knew it was the one so I got it.. so about 14 months.

Though I haven't ordered mine yet, I have 3 appts on the same day exactly 10 months beforehand and am keeping my fingers crossed that I'll find something then!

8 months, but it depends on the designer. Some do take a year.

I ordered mine 13 months out but didn't expect to. I thought it would take longer for me to find something I liked.

I did the same thing. Mine only took about 6 months though! Mine came in last week!

I ordered my dress a little less than 14 months before my wedding date- I was told my gown would take 8-12 months to arrive.

I'm a little behind.. I haven't bought my dress yet.. But know what I want and how I want it so it won't be difficult.. I will be dress shopping during Christmas

I found one I loved and ordered it a year and 4 months before because I was afraid they wouldd discontinue it with my luck......needless to say it is in already, but they are storing it for me and told me I can go there whenever I want to try it on.....since July I have only gone once because I dont want to push my luck with it but I am sure I will bring FMIL with me one more time before my fittings start......I am nuts..lol
