Ok so how many weddings have you gone to where you take your favor home, looked at it and said *** am I going to do with this.....and than threw it out? Any ideas for useful wedding favors that aren't going to cost me an arm and a leg?

The BEST wedding favor DH & I received at a wedding was a movie ticket to AMC theaters.
So DH & I got to see WALL-E on the bride & Groom----it was so cool!
That's a really cool idea! Very Unique!

Re: wedding favors
I am planning to do the photo booth, and have acrylic casing with FH and my name and wedding date, plus I am going to have the candy buffet with personalized bags, and we are having a traditional cake that we are giving to our guests in a personalized box. I am not giving traditional favors because FH and I personally do not like them.

Re: wedding favors
This was exactly my problem and I didn't want to do something edible since Russo's is already ridiculous with food and we're doing Viennese with take out boxes... and FH didn't like the idea of a donation...
so we FINALLY decided on pasta servers! WOOT
After rejecting
Customized wine glasses Coasters
and didn't use ice cream scoops, cake servers, wine stoppers or wine charms because FH's cousing used them all recently for her wedding and wedding related parties, but those are all feasible options.. I still use the cake server and the ice cream scoop, they're so cute!

we are doing cookbooks with recipes given from family and freinds
What website are you using to create the books? One I found is so expensive!

I decided on doing a donation to the make a wish foundation. You can claim it on your taxes. I personally hate nonsense favors that get tossed. The seating cards will be in a frame so at least they walk away with something, but it isn't a huge waste of money!

Re: wedding favors
Pretty much every favor I got unless it was something edible lol
That's why we're either doing cupcakes or wine.

We're doing caramel apples for our e-party. I was going to order them from Daffy Apple. BJ's sells them? In cases or individually and do you know how much? Thanks!

Re: wedding favors
I just took favors out of my budget since my family and friends argued I didn't need them and they didn't want them!

Re: wedding favors
The best wedding favor I ever got was an ice cream scooper. I still use it! I was going to do chocolate as a favor for my wedding but my mom says it will be too hot so I'm not sure what I will be doing for favors either.

Re: wedding favors
It's been mixed. I have gotten some useful ones, some that just collect dust on my bookshelf, some that are still in the trunk of my car. It sucks to know that no matter what you pick as a favor this is always going to be a handful of people that are not going to like it.
We went with individual ice cream bowls and it will be one per person. If there are extra left at the RH, no biggie, because I know my aunts will take more and I have no problem having extra in the house because FH and I are ice cream fanatics.

Same for us... A donation and a picture holder

Re: wedding favors
I definitely agree with edible favors that guests will actually use. One of our colors is pink so we are doing bottles of rose champagne.
Then a little extra favor will be the double prints of photos from the photobooth.
We are also providing to go boxes for the desserts at Viennesse Hour.
of coarse edibles are always good, i got a bottle of champagne at one of the last weddings i went to and we enjoyed it the next day! it was awesome!
I was also looking into personalized USB's for a while
Shot glasses are always good too, or you can donate to a charity of your choice...
My FH and I are donating to the american cancer society in memory of his grandmother and in honor of my grandmother in lieu of a gift, its really the gift that keeps on giving and has sentimental value to you
