Ok so how many weddings have you gone to where you take your favor home, looked at it and said *** am I going to do with this.....and than threw it out? Any ideas for useful wedding favors that aren't going to cost me an arm and a leg?

Re: wedding favors
We started a foundation for Parkinsons Research in honor/memory of my FH father. We are going to make a donation to that foundation in lieu of favors. We are going to make a sign that indicates that and place it at the table where the table cards are located.

We are also doing donations instead of favors. The only useful one I have received was a wine bottle stopper. Our money going to the JDRF will do much more good than a silly throw away gift.

Re: wedding favors
wine!!! i got Trader Joe's wine which was delllllicious!!! for 2.99 a bottle! I got awesome labels for cheap on ebay, and I put Jordan Almonds around each bottle. I got one per couple, so I got about 108 bottles, plus the labels, almonds and spent a little over $400 for 200 people!
wine or something edible!

Re: wedding favors
My parents went to a wedding recently where the couple hired a seperate photographer to take couples/families pics as they walked in (like at a. Prom). Then at the end of the night my parents got 2 framed prints of the pic. I asked and it only cost 1000. They had over 200 ppl. Really nice gift
