I'm having a lot of difficulty deciding on what to give as a favor. Everything I'm finding is junky or corny. I'm not too concerned about price-I just want something that people are not going to throw away. I want something different. Please give me suggestions/ideas or tell me what you are doing for favors.

We did donations as favors because we wanted to honor our late fathers and also didn't want to give something that ppl might be tempted to throw away. The best favors I ever received besides donations were edible ones though-wine, cookies, etc. One of my friends went to a wedding and it ended late (after midnight) and they received breakfast as a favor- a small box with a croissant, the paper and a small jar of homemade jam that the bride and here mom had made themselves.

A friend of mine who is getting married in 2 weeks is having abakery make black and white cookies and bags them with ribbon and a personal label

I used mini wine bottles and put a lable on them. Then I order tiny square boxes and ordered m&M's online. It was perfect. Also in our budget

Something edible is always good, either something sweet or wine or even olive oil. I do like the idea of a donation.

We're doing Tree seeds.....Really pretty and personalized. My wedding somehow became almost a green wedding. Just is happening that way and im not so much green....hehehe but i like it

We did keychains with 4 leaf clover insides since DH is Irish. Other ideas are:
lucky bamboo plants bottles of wine candle small mirror for a purse/pocket
I always suggest an edible favor. This way it doesn't get thrown into some junk drawer. We used candies that my DH's aunt made- they are something she makes for all special occasions. Are you part of a certain culture? Or have a favorite candy or baked good? maybe use that for the favor. Or, if you don't want to even do a favor, I think thats fine. I don't think most people would notice or care honestly.

I love the breakfast idea! I personally tend to not take the sweets edible favors because I'm so full from the wedding that the thought of having cookies laying out on my countertop actually makes me a little queasy and guilty-feeling over the calories. But breakfast is something I'd have to eat anyways the next morning and it would be so nice to wake up to a nice little breakfast treat!
You can also check out myitalianweddingfavors.com . They have some great platters and oil/vinegar bottles that I think may actually be useful.

I didn't want my favors to go to waste either and the only thing i could think of was edible.
Since I am Chinese and my fiance is not, I thought it would be extra cute to do personalized fortune cookies. Not sure if I am going to go through with it yet though....

We did snowman salt and pepper shakers- they go with our theme- and they have other ones that match the seasons...I like them- and even if people dont want to keep them they are good to regift
