Wedding Favors Ideas? Please Help!

I'm having a lot of difficulty deciding on what to give as a favor. Everything I'm finding is junky or corny. I'm not too concerned about price-I just want something that people are not going to throw away. I want something different. Please give me suggestions/ideas or tell me what you are doing for favors.

We are getting married at a vineyard and I wanted a North Fork theme...so we are giving dried lavendar sachets from the lavendar farm out on the east end. Pictures are in my profile

i do photography as a hobby so i did a set of 4 blank notecards w/ envelopes..with beach scenes from the area we live/got married at...(pics in album)

I love this idea but I'm not that talented and DIY is not for me.

We're doing mini pies for our favors. Maybe that would work for you too since you're having a fall wedding!

Otherwise, I think anything edible is good, and I think donations are a great idea.

We are doing a donation for Breast Cancer in honor of FH's mom.

We did the same thing - The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation

We are doing gourmet candy apples and possibly apple cider mix in a pretty package.. we are having a fall wedding so it goes =)

i love all the ideas....i have no idea where to begin when it comes to favors.....i have 300+ guests so i cant go too much over the top with the favors

Since my theme is Fall, we are doing Maple Syrup, in little bottles shaped like maple leaves.

We are doing a donation to the American Cancer Society in my mom's name and/or chocolate truffles. . . try Morgan's Bay - they have awesome chocolates and other sweets!

I was thinking the same thing as you b/c so many of those favors people end up thowing out.

We have a specific theme so we are having a comic book made about our story. FH has a lot of friends who are comic book artists.

So FH 'stalked' this thread today. Lol. He did some research and found full size wedding bottles from a LI Winery that will do personalized hand painted wine bottles for I think about $6 each. We have to order by the case which isn't too bad. It seems we are leaning this way now. It's sort of personal for us because we are wine lovers and 'he popped the question' at Raphael Vineyard. I really didn't want a theme for our wedding so it is so hard to do something different, not cheesy, and practical.
