Wedding Gown Shopping with small budget

Hello ladies!
My mom is coming in this weekend to go shopping for my dress. Can anyone suggested where we should go-either the city or long island.
I have a SMALL budget for my dress, I don't want to spend over $800.
Thanks for your help!

Right now they're advertising the $99 gown sale.

yea and they run pretty often too.... my dress from DB including my bra, slip, shoes, head peice & earings was only $850... so its totally doable even without getting a $99

ETA: Ive been to the one in Westbury about 7 times in the last 2 years and havent had one issue... everyone was great and everything came really really fast... my SIL went to the new on in Massapequa and they were also nice

I don't want to knock them.. but I was there TWICE and they were really RUDE to me, (but they had one dress the other store didn't.. that I LOVED at the time)... I went to the one in lake grove, and they were MUCH better... but not great, the girl they gave me was FAR too pushy.. and kinda pathetic, she cried when I tried on a dress.. cried like she was my sister seeing me in my dress for the first time..

there's a new one in Massapequa... I hear they're really nice over there.

Davids Bridal is great because they have SO many different styles and are pretty damn affordable!

do you have any style you are interested in?
I am in love with a Mary's Dress... Mary's is pretty affordable, but for the dress I want I had to go out to the city just to try it on.. no stores on LI carry that one.

good luck!

They are apparently very hit or miss with their customer service. Some girls have had great experiences while others have not.

Based on what I've read/experienced, I would try Massapequa first.

Gorgeous-just what i'm looking to spend. I'm SO going there this week just to price; and hopefully go back to actually try on when i have time.

I went there once before with a friend; and from what i can remember; i just walked around and looked at tags on the dresses while she was speaking with someone.

I SO can't wait to go there!

How was the service?

Definitely David's Bridal.

Also, the Bridal Garden in NYC sells dresses for charity.

David's Bridal MANHATTAN

It's 1000000x better than Westbury. It's new an clean and the gowns are in much better shape.

The woman was very patient while I tried on many gowns and went back and forth for an hour. She suggested other titmes but was not pushy at all.

When my gown came in I noticed a bead or two were loose and the seamstress actually fixed it immediately.

My one complaint is that when I picked up the gown, they kind of handed it to me and didn't help me into it. I didn't get the same kind of attentive service initially as when I bought the gown, but then I found the saleswoman who I'd originally worked with (Lauren- ask for her, she's so sweet!) and she really helped me and made sure I was happy. I wasn't ready to buy my second veil or the FG dress but she wrote down teh style #'s for me.
