Has anyone used them for photography? Pics look nice on the website but I can't really understand the company - they are more than one vendor? Do they give you a deal if you book more than one thing (photo and limo for example)? Thansk

Re: Wedding Group One
that's me! i'm justshir! =)
Wedding Group One basically consists of photography, videography, bridal party attire, hair & makeup (and i can't think of anymroe but limo service is off their list now) all under one roof.
i picked photography and videography. the prices to these are a 'set' price so that sorta makes me think it'll have the same regards to other service combo you choose... they don't have a policy where they give out percent discounts according to how many or a particular combo you purchase. but they expect YOU to haggle and you'll def be able to knock some dollars off your total. this is your 'discount.'
*Always, always haggle! they expect it.

Do you know from where their photo/video packages start? If you already used them, were you satisfied with their work? Thanks

Hey..I'm using them for my June wedding. If you think their pics on the website are amazing..definitely check out their albums at one of their studios. The haggling thing is true..even though I didn't know it at the time. They are pricey..so haggle. I'm paying $5,000 for what would have been ALOT more at their 'set' price. Good luck.

Re: Wedding Group One
there's a series of album packages. each parckage has its own particular album. i just chose the album i felt looked the best which was hte SOHO album. so i can't tell ya what teh price ranges are. the estimated cost i payed for my album package is $5g. so i guess you should expect to pay around that amount...?
i am satisfied with their photos. i felt our photographer (lenny) was very responsible in what should be taken. he was on top of everything and not in an intrusive manner. their videography on the other hand i felt it had an amateur's touch. in this area i urge you to go elsewhere for your video if need be. and after everything's been paid and photographed try to stay on top of them. they're not very responsive when it comes to returning calls or letting you know what's going on. i now have my albums. recieved them in 6mths which isn't bad at all only because i stayed on top of em.
good luck on your decision!
check out Renaissance Album click onto SOHO BOOK. in the photo the soho books are at the bottom left hand corner. comes in leather adn silk fabric.

I booked them too because our friend of mine used them. I saw the end product and I love it. I'm also using the same photographer. If you are interested in havinga videographer definitely booked them both. You'll get a good discount.

Yes, I am using Wedding Group One for my wedding. Photo only however. I loved their style and their albums. After talking to some brides on here, I went in ready to negotiate... met with Cindy at their Flushing Office. I had met with a lot of photographers including many of the popular ones on the board.
I think I got a great deal from them. If you want to know specifically, feel free to FM me.
I am a bit bothered as I read this thread that it will take 6 months to get my albums!!?? They told me about 2 months max.. that it would depend on how long it takes for me to get my act together in terms of which pictures I want.

I didn't mean to scare you but this is what I got. i got hte proofs pretty quickly. got them in about a couple of weeks. after returning the chosen photos i went through 5 different layouts then another month later i recieved my albums. if you're quick with how you want your layout to look then it'll be a breeze and maybe 2 months will sound realistic...

Okay cool! I was a bit bothered there for a bit. Two of my FH's coworkers also used WGO and their albums are absolutely beautiful. I am not going to worry. :)
I took their fine art album, so I will have to meet with their graphical artists and decide on a layout.
Justshir, was something wrong with the layout that you had to do it 5 times?

i'm not a big fan of the text. it's not only the corny words but it's also the font, a few photos looked slightly less creative, a couple of pictures looked less visible. another couple of photos was not in sync with what the rest of the pictures portrayed. and lil things here and there. i know of someone who's gone through a lot more layouts than i did! i was a breeze compared to her =)
