Has anyone been to a wedding in little italy? We looked at spqr - I already know the food is good but haven't been to a wedding there and wonder about other restaurants also...

Re: wedding in Little Italy
that's Sal Anthony's right??
My cousin got married there several years ago-- I remember it being really nice and the food was good. I had just graduated college and didn't know boo about weddings-- but they had a very down to earth NY wedding.. walked from the church to the place with signs on their arses that said just married.. Perfect for that kind of wedding and I remember the street being very cute and cobblestoned..

thanks - yes it's the Sal Anthony's on Mulberry (there was another but it closed a while ago). Was there a good amount of food? How was Carltun? - I think they are out of my $$ range - I'm not sure..

Re: wedding in Little Italy
the wedding was like 8 years ago-- but, I remember a lot of good italian food-- antipasto type stuff, etc. Having just graduated from college at the time, I did not analyze the wedding the way I would now But, I am a vegetarian and remember having plenty to eat-- I even changed tables to sit with my mom since I was 23 and sitting with the late 20's/early 30's single table and the place was accomodating. If I recall-- it was buffet-- so, there was a ton of food out-- and it felt very friendly-- not like cold, catering buffet-- it was a nice presentation.
Carltun was amazing-- top notch all the way-- no detail left undone and the service is impeccable.
