We're considering purchasing insurance for our wedding day and honeymoon. Has anyone else done this? This is the site we found-
Anyone have any other suggestions?

Re: Wedding Insurance Question

We considered it, and were going to do it, and just never got around to it. Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself, but our wedding is this week and so far all has been fine.

We did get honeymoon insurance though.

Re: Wedding Insurance Question

No, I really didn't hear anything either way about them. They were the only ones we found that offered the insurance.

Re: Wedding Insurance Question

we did it just to be safe--that and FH is in the insurance industry so he thought we were crazy not to. We got the liability too but he said that was more because he's seen a lot not because we really needed it. Any vendor you use should have their own insurance.

With all of the $ we are paying we thought the little xtra for the insurance wasn't that much and if something were to happen we could recoup it all.

Re: Wedding Insurance Question

We were very concerned and when we asked Fox Hollow they actually recommended wedsafe.com. Can't be too careful with snowstorms these days! We haven't bought the package yet but I intend to use wedsafe.com as well.

Good luck!

Re: Wedding Insurance Question

I plan on getting it also through Wed safe, just to cover all bases, but mainly in case of any sudden deployments.

Re: Wedding Insurance Question

I'm still up in the air about getting it for three reasons. One, the biggest reason for me wanting it is because I have 2 close relatives who are ill. If either should take a turn for the worst, most of my family would not attend my wedding. However, a pre-existing illness is NOT included.

Second, with wedsafe only a small amount is covered in terms of gift money (I think its like $350--I think most of us would easily get twice that amount). If someone takes the stack of cards, thats a LOT they're getting away with, and insurance wouldn't cover it-- WHAT?

Third, wed safe seems to have the monopoly. Most of the other companies seem to be from the UK. I'm the kind of consumer who likes to have choices.

Does anyone know companies other than Wedsafe that offers this insurance? The reasons I'm still considering it because for the rest of the stuff, percentage-wise it wouldn't break the bank if something DOES happen out of the ordinary.
