I just received my wedding invitations but need to customize them a little with a monogram tab.
When should I send them out? My brother is getting married August 16th and the RSVP date for my wedding is Sept. 3rd. I was thinking end of July. I want to give my guests enough time to respond without making it seem like I'm taking the spotlight away from them.

I am working on my invitations now and plan to send them out by the 1st. I put a RSVP date of 8/6 which is 2 months from my date. I did a early RSVP date because I have a Blist and also because I feel I will probably have to track ppl down so I wanted to make it early.

Wow two months. Here I thought I was okay with giving them 5 weeks.

My RSVP date is 10/1 and I'm mailing them the last week in August. Everyone tells me you're supposed to mail them out 6-8 weeks before the wedding

crashing! I'll be doing mine 3 months before because we also have a B list and it's at the end of august and I know a lot of people plan there vacations around then..

Sending mine next week! Allowing 6 weeks for responses and giving us 6 weeks for tracking down stragglers and doing the seating chart.

I didn't do a b list, so I sent mine out exactly two months before. RSVP date was a month before. Several of my friends have gotten married within the last year and they've done the same.

Thank you so much ladies. I'll discuss with FH and see what he says. If it were up to him they would have already been sent out. I think 3rd week of July would be best.

That's what I'm doing. About 6 1/2 weeks. My wedding is Oct. 5th and the RSVP date is Sept. 5th and I plan on sending them out on July 19th-20th. FH's brother is getting married on Aug. 17th so I was trying to time everything right too but hey, gotta do whatcha gotta do. LOL

Sounds like we are in the same boat. Don't want to step on anyone's toes or spoil anyone else's moment but hey I'm getting married too.

Wow I feel like a made a huge mistake. My wedding is Oct 26 and I made the RSVP date Oct 5th. I thought that was enough time but now idk
