Wedding Night Hotel?

Wedding Night Hotel?

Hey girls! So FH and I are talking about where we want to spend our wedding night. I think we kinda want to splurge and get an awesome room at a fancy hotel (FH has his sights on the Plaza). I would really think it'd be more convenient if we stayed in the island. We could drop our stuff off their earlier in the day, shorter trip, etc.

So! Please tell me, have you be to any really awesome, fancy, luxury hotels on the island? So far the best reviews online I'm getting are for the Viana in Westbury.

Thanks in advance!

we are staying at the Viana. We also did our room block there. If 10 rooms book your room is free :)

We are staying where our guests will be since we want to have an after party at the hotel bar!

The Allegria Hotel in Long Beach is super nice!

I am all about splurging but unless your wedding is over early I don't think it is worth it. Our wedding ended at 11:30 and by the time we got back to the hotel which was 5 minutes away it was almost 12:30. At that time all you want is to relax with your new husband and any nice touches will be lost about wedding day talk.

As for checking in early, we would not have any time to do this. 5-10 minutes on your wedding day is a lot of time. See if someone can check you in, but this might be a problem with ID. We bought our overnight bags to our reception and kept them in the bridal suite.

Where are you getting married? I'm staying at the Inn at Fox Hollow and the rooms are beautiful!

My aunt works at the Four Points Sheraton in Plainview and I work in the Adria/Best Western in Bayside so since the hotel owner is the same my aunt got me a free room at the Viana since that is our owners newest hotel.

Dont waste your money!! Stay at a local hotel or where your guests are staying. You will be so tired that you will just pass out anyways. LOL Trust me.

Not sure where your wedding is, but I second the Allegria Hotel in Long Beach. We had our room block there and our guests all had great things to say. DH and I spent our wedding night in an oceanfront suite. It was gorgeous and they really took care of us.
