Wedding Pic Site/Hotels in Port Jeff Area

We are getting married at Lombardi's on the Sound and def. want to take pics on the grounds there and on the beach next to it. But does anyone know a place nearby where we can take pics before we go to the RH? Also, what about hotels in the area for OOT guests? (besides Danford's...it's a minimum of $250 for one night and I feel thats a lot to ask of guests).

I would take pictures on Main Street! I think you could get some awesome shots down there! I dont know of any other hotels other tahn Danford;s...FH and i stayed there on our wedding night and LOVED it!

Thanks for the Main St. idea!!! I think FH and I might stay at Danford's on our wedding night... easier than goin back to our house that's 45 min. away. I'll have to call them and see what the discount is for my OOT'ers for blocked rooms. Thanks again!

No problem! Main Street will be awesome..and you won't regret danfords...we stayed in the cheapest room and it was still SO nice!

Thanks for the idea about taking pictures on Main Street! Port Jeff is right between my church and RH, so I think that is such a cute idea. Im not sure if I want to go to a beach but if its raining we could prob still get some cute shots walking in town with umbrellas.
For the OP I would check out Danfords prices, some guests might love to stay in a cute spot like that. I would give them that option with a more reasonable hotel as well and let them choose. I think we are going to stay at Danfords for our wedding night too, but i have no idea how much the rooms are!

I was quoted $199/night for the weekend of July 16-18 2010 from Danfords. There is a Holiday Inn Express in Stony Brook that I plan on scouting but they wouldn't give me prices until August....so if you FM me I can be sure to let you know what they say.

for my friends wedding this weekend, i believe some guests are at the Holiday Inn, she mentioned they just re-did the place and offered a shuttle for guests.

for pictures, you could also do Stony Brook Village. it has that adorable town as well as the gazebo and park across the street.
