Just starting to think about where we would like to register. Where are you ladies registering? Are there any benefits for registering at certain stores? Any stores to avoid? Thanks!

We did a honeymoon registry through sandals and one at Macy's. Macy's is nice because if you link it to your Macy's card you get a credit of 5% of every gift bought and 10% of everything you buy on your Macy's card. You also get a percentage off things that are still on your registry if you buy them yourself. Personally I like Macy's bc they always have sales and coupons and I think people purchasing gifts appreciate that.

We made registries at Bed Bath & Beyond and Target. BB&B always has 20% off coupons so that's good for the person buying the gifts. Saves them some $$.

We registered at macys for the reason above. We also registered at BBB. I put as much as I could on Macys because of the rewards. plus people thing BBB is cheaper because of the 20% coupon but in many cases I've checked the macys sales and applied coupons and it is cheaper then BBB. When the time gets closer we may add a smaller registry to Potery Barn, Sur la Table, or William Sonoma

I just registered at bed bath and beyond. The 20 off coupons are good and they just made bbb in Canada - where half our guests are from

I registered at BBB and small one at Macys. Macys gives rewards (gift card at the end) but I felt their prices were much higher then BBB so I registered mostly at BBB since you can also use a coupon there too.

We did BBB and kohls. BBB was great, but I wouldn't recommend kohls. The registry itself didn't always update correctly and it said I didn't get things that I did.

we did exactly the same thing!! @Poggi, let me know if you get alot of your Sandals registry gifts. I'm worried that nobody will really buy anything for it lol....but Macy's is definitely the way to go. Between china, bedding, kitchen aid mixers, keurigs, and other big ticket items, the 5% on each item REALLY adds up! My sister got like 400 bucks and got a percentage off if she bought some more stuff that wasn't bought from her registry

My shower is on the 27th and so far about half of the gifts on our Macy's registry have been bought and we got one gift on the sandals registry. We let the Macy's one small (about 60 gifts) to encourage people to give gifts on the honeymoon registry and bc FH and I have lived together for about 2 years and don't need that much stuff. I'm hoping that our plan works out, I will keep you posted.

We were only going to register at Bed Bath & Beyond but my mom told me that people will probably like a selection of places to go so we registered for our bedding and china at the Macy's in Manhattan and some little things at Crate & Barrel. Macy's seemed to have the best benefits for our china - they give you additional pieces for most of the completions or something. I don't really remember what it was, but it sounded great haha. If you have a Macy's credit card linked to your registry, you get 5% of each purchase made put onto a gift card that they give you after the wedding date.

Re: Wedding Registry Advice
We registered at Crate & Barrel and Kohls. I would highly recommend Crate & Barrel but would NEVER recommend Kohls. They were a nightmare to deal with and no one was ever any help in the store.

I registered at BBB but, after reading this thread, I think I'll move most of my registry onto Macy's! :)
