I have a question about choosing a wedding band. I have a solitaire engagement ring with brilliants on the side, but only half-way around.
My jeweler is recommending that I get a wedding band with brilliants all the way around - that way if it twists, you always see diamonds on the top. He said that the girls who have chosen only 1/2 way around diamonds end up coming back in a few years to get an eternity band.
Its about $1200 more to get the diamonds all the way around and its more difficult to resize.
I'm curious to see what other girls did in that situation. Did anyone have this problem?
Thanks!

Re: Wedding Rings Question
My wedding band has diamonds that only go 1/2 way around. It doesn't twist, and you'd never know there weren't diamonds all the way around unless I showed you my palm.

Re: Wedding Rings Question
Honestly, if your ring is sized properly, it shouldn't twist. Also, I have a girlfriend who had her rings made with a flat underside so that it doesn't twist. That's another option.

Re: Wedding Rings Question
I went for the full eternity band..all the way around..I just prefered it and didn't want to regret not doing it later on. As far as resizing it..they can add balls to the inside or they should leave enough gold that the inside can be ground down..doesn't really get resized

Re: Wedding Rings Question
honestly i would have half around. save ur money, your gunna bang the ring and loose stones and its ot worth the hassel. yours rings when sized to the right size are gunna turn a little but not all away around.

Re: Wedding Rings Question
my jeweler is making it about 3/4 around, with just the small piece of my finger not having any diamonds.....that way less banging n stuff, but it still has a lil room to turn (which i still hope it doesnt turn anyway) and also, like it was already said, unless ur looking at my palm, u cant tell....
its saving about $300-400 from the eternity option

Re: Wedding Rings Question
My ring is 3/4 eternity the remaining space has hand engraving that matches the engraving on the back of the band of my e-ring. I did not want stones on the back of the ring because they are likely to get damaged. My ring is a little big and does not turn all the way around at most it shifts a little bit.
