Wedding skincare
Hi ladies,I envision my skin to be glowing and flawless the day of my wedding-but that is only a dream as my skin is far from that
. I don't have horrible skin but it is oily and extremely, let me reiterate this -extremely prone to clogged pores and congestion. My picking doesn't help either :(Do you ladies plan on doing facials, peels, microdermabrasion, etc to prep your skin for your wedding? On past forum topics I've read that many do this starting months before with great success. I have a year and a half until my wedding and this is already stressing me out!

I work for a dermatologist who happens to have an esthetician there doing facials. I'm hoping to start some sort of routine once a month or something to try and get my skin looking great for the wedding. A lot of girls come in and start an oral antibiotic temporarily to ward off any flare ups around the day of their wedding. For some reason, I'm scared of doing more damage with a peel since I've never had one and have super sensitive skin.Maybe go see a dermatologist and get their recommendation!

It's funny that you ask this!! I just started getting chemical peels a few weeks ago (1 per month) my sister is in end of her 2nd month of esthetician school and is now qualified to give them! I have SUPER sensitive skin and it didn't irritate me! She's also given my facials, bought me better face wash (she doesn't like that i used biore!) ACtually, im going to FM you! LOL it's easier that way!

I purchased a facial cleanser, toner and moisturizer by Clinique at Macy's and it has has helped keep my skin clear. I use it every day and it is based on your skin type so if you are sensitive or oily they will let you know what type you should use. I am afraid to do anything that is harsher than that because I just feel like it is too extreme.

I was having a lot of problems with my skin (at least more than I felt I should be having as a 20-something). I started using CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser (a derm recommended it to me) and I don't break out anymore! But I do want to do the chemical peels starting about a year before my wedding. I've heard they make you feel great!

Have any of you thought of doing laser hair removal?

So the facials or peels should start around a year or so before the wedding? Is there a reason some of you chose peels over facials or vice versa? Ive heard about antibiotics but I heard it can mess up your digestive tract and that scares me :0

I was curious about this too. For being in mid-to late 20's I feel like my skin breaks out more now than it ever did. My pores are more prone to clogging and oily. I know your body and skin changes every x amount of yrs but I want to ward off broken out horrible skin. I am going to ask my derm about skin care routine. I try to avoid harsh chemicals on my face so chemical peels seem a bit scary to me.I did laser hair removal I had a groupon. I definitely have wayyy less hair. It takes usually more sessions that a groupon includes to get rid of all of it. I have to save up to go back and finish lol.

I have the worse skin on the planet and have tried EVERYTHINGlet me tell you- i've spent $100s of dollars on stuff, tried medications, creams you name it and at 24 my skin still was awful...
Until i found something else!!!
Try
CLINIQUE by Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild
Then use Clinique clarifying lotion- it is a toner and really reduces blackheads and pores
Finally, I use Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion since having a good moisturizer is a good way of keeping your face fresh!!!
It really really is worth the money. Nothing every worked for me but it does work! :)

I have struggled with my skin forever and all you need is a clarisonic from sephora (don't buy a cheap one just get the real deal) it comes with amazing facial cleanser. use it religiously and in between use noxzema. you can even use noxzema as cold cream at night. you'll be thanking me later!!Welcome New Vendors
