ladies, i was wondering what 'new and hip' wedding trend did you just NOT WANT?
i'll go first. the funny thing is that mine is mostly an 'old traditional' trend... no bouquet toss and no garter toss (not enough sinlges at the wedding to justify).
your turn
disclaimer: please remember, that this is a matter of likes/dislikes and personalities. just because you don't care for something, doesn't mean that there isn't a wonderful bride who just loves the idea. i know we are all grown, well-behaved women and we won't say anything offensive about what another bride did/will do.

Re: wedding 'trend' you said NO to
This is REALLY fun
no cry packs (who is going to ball out crying at wedding??) no petal cones no programs (no one cares about who read what and who is what after five seconds)
NO organized dancing no slippers no OOT bags no bathroom baskets( to me this is so silly) NO rap or R&B or silly trad. wedding songs No photo montage at the reception No bridal arch thing NO mc if at all possible just need a person to play some music and not be a coke head
no sand ceremony - (What the hell is that??) No spec. runner No specialty Decorated Cermony location No big bridal party NO viennese hour - (over 50% of food gets thrown out and that is terrible in my mind)
hehehehe makes me feel better for not going nuts with extra's thought i was being cheap now i know i am being real IoI

no garter or bouquet toss, no slipper baskets, no bathroom baskets, tissue packs or table cameras, no group dances, no petal cones (don't know what those are), no personalized aisle runner, no STDs.
Probably more stuff, but can't remember

Cry packs...I'm sorry, and no offense to anyone, but that is so stupid...I've never been to a wedding where guests have been frantically seeking out a tissue due to the overflow of tears of joy. Maybe MOB or MOG but I definitely don't think anybody besides them will benefit from a kleenex in an envelope! LOL
i kinda agree. I don't really expect that many people to need tissues all that much except for maybe one....

pick ups on skirt of bridal gowns... sorry if anyone loves them... but i just feel like in 5/10 years, no one will like them... they are very antique looking.. very marie antoinette and i think that has its own beauty and flair... but just not for me.
