ladies, i was wondering what 'new and hip' wedding trend did you just NOT WANT?
i'll go first. the funny thing is that mine is mostly an 'old traditional' trend... no bouquet toss and no garter toss (not enough sinlges at the wedding to justify).

I am not doing a slipper basket, OOT boxes, unity candle, chocolate fountains, - I can't think of anything else!

Apparently i am not sure why i am on LIW because I am not doing most of what a lot of you seem to be doing... i either think it's tacky (JMO), not traditional enough for my taste, or we dont' have the budget for it.
therefore my sorry-*** wedding will not have: cry packs petal cones bathroom baskets slippers garter toss bo-k toss chocolate fountain ice scuplture SUV or Hummer Limo (HATE those!) viennese hour menu (although maybe if i have time) more than 12 people in my BP.... love you ladies!! hope some of you are doing some of these... .hahaha

Oh, what the heck, I'm bored.
Trends we didn’t include: cry pack petal cones anniversary dance or participation dances we-do letters slipper basket dj giveaways (Is this even a trend?) bathroom baskets SUV or Hummer Limo viennese hour photo montage at the reception card box and the biggest one… I didn’t wear a strapless ballgown dress!
Traditions we didn’t include: garter toss (I didn’t even wear one!) bo-k toss having a limo or fancy car pick us up after the reception

First of all..am I the only one who doesn't know what a slipper basket or I do letters are??
Anywho....for me:
NO bo'k/garter toss, it can be cute, but I would rather keep dancing...
NO cry packets...I have neither the time nor the patience to make them...
NO photo montage at the reception...again, would rather drink and dance!
If I have time I might do programs for the church, petal cones and menus...but I am not married to the idea

No Cry Packs, No Petal Cones, No Programs, No Flowers at the Church.....I don't want one of those pouches that you collect cards in and carry around with you....I can't think of anything else. We're doing the Bo-K/Garter toss.

slipper baskets are baskets of those slippers with the sequins on them - some brides get them in a different sizes so their guests can slip off their shoes and dance comfortably all night
I DO letters are literally the letters I DO - they are placed near the cake usually

We are not doing the following:
running through the 'bridal arch' thing where the bridal party makes a tunnel and arch with their bo-ks.. I think it's dumb and no one ever seems to know what the heck to do after the bride and groom run through it! It's always an awkward moment! No regular run of the mill limos or Hummer/SUV limos tiara garter toss no 'I DO' or 'WE DO' letters cry packs slipper basket bubbles chocolate fountain viennese hour ice sculpture unity candle sand ceremony NO CAKE SMASHING ABSOLUTELY NO CHICKEN DANCE, MACARENA & ELECTRIC SLIDE We are seeing each other before the ceremony for pictures We want to have a chocolate wedding cake
on the fence about the bouquet toss because my RH has a great place from which to toss it.
I also don't think I want to do the Father of the Bride and Mother of the Groom dances... at least not with everyone staring at us. I have never enjoyed watching this at other weddings. It actually kind of annoys me. JMO I would of course like to dance with my father, but I really don't care about having it be in the spotlight. I'd actually rather share that moment with him more privately, especially since there are hard feelings and issues between other family members and my dad (parents are divorced)
