I'm not sure about the wedding video. It seems like a lot of money for something you will only see a few times. Help me out Ladies!

Re: Wedding video
okay i was definitely NOT doing a wedding video - but then it was the one thing that everyone told me to do and i understand why.
I have been to a few family weddings recently - and btw eating, taking pictures, dancing etc it really felt like they went by in just moments - and when i watched their videos it was like a completely different wedding
i missed so many moments -and that is for OTHER PEOPLE'S weddings, i can't imagine my own. . . i heard a lot of girls say they regret NOT getting it but i have never heard of one girl regret getting it
plus - my parents got 40 years ago so we don't even have that many pictures, i mean their album has only 40 pictures and it isnt like the guests had their own cameras with them. . . i would love to sit and watch my parents' wedding video.
and i look foward to watching it on every anniversary. . . and eventually with my kids
good luck with your decision!

Re: Wedding video
I agree!! the video is so important to us. We might not get to see the little things that happen but they will be caught on the video. And you can watch the whole day over and over. The day goes by so fast. But the video will be there forever. and it will remind you of the whole day.

Hmmm... I was very unsure about it too but now that I have read what you ladies are talking about and it is so true. I think I might do it now.

Re: Wedding video
I agree with all the other girls. I wasn’t going to get one at first. I figured I would buy a dvd camcorder and have someone record throughout the night. But my dad convinced me it’s the video and the photographs that are going to capture the night. We had met with Halo video (www.halovideo.com) I think he’s a vendor on the nycityweddings site. His prices are low because he’s the guy other companies hire to do the taping. He’s located in Queens and we really liked him. We would’ve booked him, but we wanted to use the same company for photo and video.

Re: Wedding video
Everyone has stated bascially why i got the video added too. I really was dead set on not having one and so was fh till we watched my neice and nephew who are five watching my brothers video. They love it!
Plus they get to see their other grandma and grandpa who passed away shortly after they were born. Those are the moments that you reflect back in life and go thats them... they are happy and with me then and you get to show your kids one day that family member that has passed on.
Also you don't remember very much from the wedding because its a big blurr.. so we were inclined to get the video.

Re: Wedding video
I was really thinking about this also. I mean I want to save money but where do you decide to save it.
I think that the video is an important recording of a most celebrated moment in your life. If you dont get it one day you may look back and regret it.
It has funny moments and loving words, songs and dances that you may love to see again, I will definitely be getting one.
