Originally we had decided not to get a videographer but with only a month left i am regretting that decision.
does anyone know of a really cheap, just the basics videographer you could recommend. I dont have much money to put towards this, but really dont want to regret it.
thanks!!

Re: wedding video?
I did the same exact thing 2 weeks ago!!!!!!!!!
I asked my photographer for a recommendation and the guy he gave me seems great. I won't know until after this weekend just how great he is, but we're doing an extremely basic, nearly-no edit video.
If you'd like his info and the price, FM me. I'd rather not post it just in case he cut us a really sweet deal because it was only 3 weeks before the wedding (although those of you who are super savvy can just look at my vendors...)

Re: wedding video?
Thomas Paul's video packages aren't as pricey as you may think. I'd put in a call to him and see what he says, tell him your budget, etc. It's worth a shot! And I know it won't matter that you aren't using him for photography! If the video person's available, you may get what you want!

Re: wedding video?
We aren't planning on using a videographer. There is just something about having that bright light shining on you on the dance floor that bothers me. At this point a friend of my mother's is bringing her video camera and is going to capture as much of the wedding that she can, while still being a guest.
For those who have had their wedding and used a videographer, what was your take on them being there? Did you feel that they were really in your face and all over the dance floor, or did you forget they were there? I just don't know what to do...

While the bright light is annoying, we didn't notice our videographer on the dance floor at all. We didn't want the light shining in everyone's face, etc. as well. In the end, my only regret is not spending more and getting a better more cinematographic video. Thank goodness we got the video we did! You will see your day all over again and it will amaze you! We've had our video for 5 days and I've watched it 3 times and bawled like a baby watching the ceremony for the first time. I would tell you to get a no-frills videographer for sure.
