we did a mixture.....used different wording, but kind of traditonal mixed in. we liked personalizing it.

Re: Wedding Vows?
i am getting married in a catholic church so i have to do traditional
but i really have to agree - there is something amazing in the fact that i will be saying the same words as my great grandparents or the billions of other married couples - ( okay in a different language but still . . . )

We are writing them. FH was less than sentimental when he proposed and asked simply if I wanted a ring. I was upset by that because you can at least say something nice to me!
i hear you he was somewhat sentimental but it could lhave been better!!!! but i love him anyway

Re: Wedding Vows?
Traditional. One, because we're just too lazy to write our own lol and two, we dont really want to get too personal in front of all out guests. We're more private.

Re: Wedding Vows?
We're writing our own vows!!!!!! Theres just so much we have to say and we want them to be written in our own style of expression.
The only thing is that I have to go first. There's no way in h ell that I could hold it together if he went before me!

Re: Wedding Vows?
writing them along with our officiant who is an actor / comedian friend in LA who is getting ordained for us, should be interesting, probably will mesh some tradition in it too, to please the elderly fam

Re: Wedding Vows?
My FH asked if I wanted to write our own vows before he even proposed, it's something that he really wants.

Re: Wedding Vows?
My FH is an awesome writer and an English Teacher and Im not so good of a writer..He would have to edit it for me
so we are going to do traitional unless i get some kind of something come over me and help me to write..but i think i would be too nervous to remember what to say at the alter.
