What did you ladies use for a wedding website to keep guests updated? Did you find it was worth to pay for it? I looked at Wedding Channel. com and they are very limited with what your registry information (they don't list bed bath and beyond as an option!). Any recommendations? I want to send out my STD really soon since we set the date yesterday!
Thanks!

Re: wedding website?
I started wtih eweddings.com put in all the info I was so excited and then I get a notice that my free trial is expiring and they cut out most of the stuff so now I am just using this site. You can create your own free wedding website on LIW through your account.

Re: wedding website?
I used LIW website and it's great but it's so boring b/c you can't put any graphics on it like you do with myspace and the backgrounds are sooo limited.

Re: wedding website?
haven't done it yet but I'm probably going to do it here on LIW. Bed,Bath & Beyond and Macys offer websites as part of your regisrty pacakge but then you have to type in really long web addresses to get to it. and of course your site starts with Bedbathandbeyond.com/.......... and if you put that on your STDs or invites aren't you violating the edicate rule that says registry info should be given by word of mouth not printed on invites?
I used weddingtracker.com, paid $70 for a years use and loved it until one day it totally got erased... and it was just after my invites went out telling people to visit my site for details. I had to redo the whole site and didn't have the time to put all the effort I originally put into it... and also, somone spam kept getting posted to my guestbook... like links to viagra, or porn sites! I complained to the company and got my money back! I def don't recommend them!

Re: wedding website?
I know I'm late, but we got a doteasy.com account. $25 for a year. I just renewed it, so I'll be using it to post wedding and honeymoon pictures. I'm not sure if it's the kind of thing you're talking about though - everyone else seems to be inputting information like guest lists (which my FI absolutely forbade), while we just built a website. It comes with an email account. Although, tube socks come with a free email account these days.

Re: wedding website?
I did my own site on my own server. Tripod.com has some templates but nothing wedding related.
I know how to do some design nothing too big but I did mine. So far in a year I got 185 hits and no one has even told me they visited. I put on A ton of info and just changed it to upload the artwork for the direction cards, etc.
I am not sure if it is completely worth it - i put all the info on the std's and the traffic is really slow on the site. But then again maybe when the wedding gets closer more people will look.

Re: wedding website?
You can find them for free- the one Im using I had to pay for- but it is super user friendly. Def shop around!
We used wedding window as well. They were fabulous and very easy to use and update. Our site just expired, otherwise I would have posted a link. Our website was garyanddiana.com.
