I love where we live (Massapequa, Plainedge shools) and we 'could' stay there forever.... but someday we would where we live. We bought the house in a neighborhood we knew had great schools and that we loved knowing we we would be there a long time!
FH and I own a house in Valley Stream!
We currently live in Ohio and are moving to the suburbs around Philadelphia this summer. We are really excited because it's only about 20 min. away from his family and 2 hours from mine--the closest I've lived to LI in about 7 years! It seems like the perfect place for us, but only time will tell.

I grew up in Massapequa and went to Plainedge. Great area!
FH insists that this is our 'starter home' and it's in Farmingdale... and I have to say it's super convenient to EVERYTHING!!!! But eventually we would like to end up in Oakdale or Northport...
FH works in Islandia and I work in Woodbury. My parents own two houses on Long Island. One in Patchogue and the one they live in, in Medford. We plan on buying their house in Patchogue. The only thing is I will get a second job to pay for private school before I send my children to Patchogue-Medford School District.

It really is.... my only complaint is we are right behind the HS... so the stupid kids egged our house on halloween (could happen anywhere)... but then 2 weeks ago FH's car got egged at night
i guess dumb kids just being kids....
FH and I live with my mother in Garden City South. She is older and I really don't want to leave her alone. We just remodeled so everything is new. We are planning to stay here for a few years. Eventually, we would like to buy a house in Massapequa.
