I had a dream last night that my MOH told me she was pregnant. Her and her husband have been trying for a long time, so in the dream I was thrilled. I asked her if we could announce it at my wedding, and she said yes. So, in the dream I announced it and everyone was excited. The dream got me to thinking about today's question.
If a special guest at your wedding had news to share - birthday, anniversary, pregnancy, etc - would you want to make the announcment at the wedding? Or do you feel like that would take away from your day?
I, personally, would love to be able to share news like this at my wedding. I think it makes the day even more special. I know many girls feel like it detracts from their day, however, I really think it would add to it even more. The only exception would be if someone proposed at my wedding. That would probably bother me a bit.

I think a birthday or anniversary is not that big of a deal to have announced. I dont mean this in a mean way at all, but I wouldnt want someone announcing they were pregnant or engaged at my wedding. I just feel you wait your whole like for that one day and you want it to be your day with your FH.

the only thing I wouldn't mind is if my sister was preggo and she made an announcement........other than that. No, its my, I mean OUR, day.

I don't think i would mind!
We are actually gonna start trying for a baby in June/July (FH is in his 30's and the alarm on his biological clock is going off). He hopes to announce our pregnancy at the wedding...hopefully we can! So, if we DON'T have news of our own...I wouldn't mind! Its a celebration damnit!

Heck NOOOOOOO that is NOT okay with me.
I'm actually a little afraid of this happening...FSIL and FBIL would love a honeymoon baby...and since they're getting married 2 months before us, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to announce it at the wedding.
That's the reason I'll be making sure our DJ knows that NOBODY is allowed on the mic without my approval!!!

I would not want anyone to share any news on my day. That's just me. I've waited almost 2 years for this day. They could wait one more.

it depends the person..and the news. if it was really close friend/family, i think it be okay (they should ask me first). if it was just a guest, id be annoyed. like w t h
I agree... it would definitely depend on who and what the news is.
