Im from LI does anyone have any ideas where i can take my fiance for a nice romantic weekend getaway? Something not to expensive if possible

We just went to Lancaster, P.A. We did the tour of the Amish County which included Wine tasting. It is called the Amish Experience.com You can also go for a horse/buggy ride there. You can browse all the great shops and farm stands and of course there are those amazing outlets...By the way, there are several great inexpensive places to stay. Just go to Lancastercounty.com

When are you going?? FH & I usually go up to the Catskills this time of year....it's so beautiful.
Not sure if you wanted to stay on LI....but if you go upstate you could stay near Hunter Mountain....which is about a 2 hour drive. They have Octoberfest at Hunter the last weekend in September and the first weekend in October.....and there's also an awesome haunted hayride near Kingston......the haunted hayride isn't so romantic, but it gives you a reason to cling to your FH when your walking through the haunted houses (there's 2) and the creepy corn maze that you walk through in pitch black darkness!! It scared the hell out of me....but it was a lot of fun!!! And it took over 2 hours to get through the whole thing so it's worth the ticket price.
Catskills is very nice around this time, especially when it starts with Fall Foliage. What about AC? Or even a weekend in Montauk. ME and FH are going not this weekend but next weekend to Montauk and honestly it is such perfect weather this time of year there. Plus it's not as crazy crowded as it is in the summer time.

Not sure about the weather on LI right now but how about Fire Island. You can take the ferry over and stay in a B&B.
