Weekend Getaway!!!

Does anyone have any good ideas where me and FH can go for a weekend getaway? Fri-Sun, someplace not too far.

Did anyone ever stay at the Sagamore in Lake George? I was thinking about Lake George but I've never been there. Any info?

FH and I go a few times a year to Lancaster PA about 3 hours away and it is cheap and relaxing we have a great place that has cottages to stay at FM me for more info

FH and I once rented a lodge in Rhineback where we did horseback riding and snowboarding. The lodge was really cute and only 2 hours away.

If you're looking for something warm and sunny, def. South Beach--but of course that's a bit far =)

We go to Lake George every summer... It's beautiful!!! The Sagamore is amazing too. If you decide to go there- FM me and I can recommend some great restaurants. My cousin also went to Mirror Lake Inn - Lake Placid for her 1yr. anniversary- and said it was gorgeous also. A bit further though.

This is exactly what we are looking for, something with a fireplace , not too far of a drive since it is just for the weekend and Im afraid to go too far upstate and get snowed in

Caesars Cove Haven in the Poconos (there are other resorts but I dont know the names).

The Sagamore is great. my parents have a house up in lake george and i love it so much. The sagamore is super cozy in the winter and we have high tea there. You can do some shopping in the outlets and there is cute shops near the sagamore.

FH and I have gone the last few years and are going again in January to Berkshire Massachusetts...staying at a bed and beakfast...it is so pretty there...it is just a few hours of a drive...check it out, we are staying in Stockbridge, but all surrounding areas are nice too HTH...if you are interested, FM me there are ski resorts nearby as well

FH and I just went to Foxwoods for the weekend, but we've also gone to Vermont and New Hampshire on a 3 day getaway. Those places are a bit of a drive...and you probably already missed the foliage though. I've heard the poconos is a pretty good spot around now.
