FH and I really need to spend some quality time together. I'm emotionally overwhelmed since losing my dad and stressed out from work and caring for my mom. We need to just relax, enjoy each other, etc. We want to go away...probably just Sat-Sunday. Any ideas?
PLEASE no Montauk, Hamptons, etc....that's NOT my kind of area....we all know how I feel about LI and that's sort of the epitome of it (at least in my head!)!
Thanks ladies!

Amish Country PA. Its 3 hours away and there are so many cute b&b's and little shops and wineries. And the absolute best soft pretzels you will ever eat in your life ever! I swear! FH and i almost drove there one day just for a pretzel and then realized it was a sunday and everything tehre would be closed.

I just told FH and we're debating between Hershey and Dorney Park...we were exploring B & Bs but this could be fun and distracting...I need to NOT think for awhile...thanks so much girls!

What you can do is plan to arrive around 4 or 5:00 - for twilight admission! This way you get into the park at night for about 4-5 hours for half price!!!! That's what we do -because of FH's work schedule we can't get there until that time anyway...
