Is anyone interested in doing a a topic/discussion/blog of weight and support? I'm trying to lose weight in time for my wedding, but I feel like if I had other people doing it and watching each other it would be easier.
I hope that makes sense!
So if anyone is interested, I'll start. I'm trying to lose 20lbs by June/July - in time for my first fittings.

I'm in also! I wqant to lose 20 pounds before my wedding. I am much better at watching myself while I'm busy at work. The weekends are the hardest for me. I think support from other brides that are going therough the same thing will be wonderful!
This is my problem EXACTLY. Its so much easier to be strict when I am at work.

Re: Weight Buddies?
haha speaking of going off track on the weekends - this particular weekend was especially bad since I had three whole days off...
So, I guess to start off the daily food intake 'confession': For Breakfast, I had yogurt and an apple. For Lunch, I'm having a small serving of lasagna and a pear. For Dinner, I'm having soup and noodles with duck. I also get one bag of 100 calorie to snack on.
Does that sound unhealthy/fattening?

Re: Weight Buddies?
Hey ladies.. I used to be quite large.. i was 240 lbs, and dropped 100 lbs...
That was a few years ago.. But lived at the gym and cut out so much of the junk that i ate..
Next monday I start my diet again to drop some weight and hit the gym realllly hard..
What works for me is at least 100 oz of water a day, no dairy, no sugar (splenda only), no salt and only good carbs. I eat 5-6 times a day consuming only good carbs in the morning, at lunch and at dinner. I would only eat 2-3 oz of protein (grilled chicken or grilled pork or grilled turkey) every meal. So my day was breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. The meals were rather small but I was never hungry in between. my body knew when feeding time was coming haah
if you ladies need anythingshout!!!
good luck!!!

This is actually a great way to go..its similar to what I do, except I dont eat meat so I try to have some sort of protein at every meal; egg whites, beans, chick peas, etc. One thing that made a HUGE difference when I was losing was cutting out ALL white, processed carbs. Just brown rice, whole wheat bread, etc.

Re: Weight Buddies?
Hi everyone!! I am definitely down with a weight loss thread. I am a WW veteran...lol!! I have done it many times and have lost a lot of weight. This last time I was finally ready to make the commitment and I lost 27lbs and have kept if off for a year. I would like to lose an additional 15 or 20lbs more before my wedding. I have realized that WW is a lifestyle change and not just a diet!! Good luck to everyone!!

Re: Weight Buddies?
This is a great idea ! I started a month ago and lost 12 pounds so far, i would like to loose another 25-30 . I lost by going to the gym, eating 1200 cals ( or around that) and eating 5-6 small meals a day, so i never get too hungry

Re: Weight Buddies?
These last few lbs are killing me. After the first few days I lose the initial water weight, and then I just get stuck. Any advice?

So I found out WW is having free registration right now - and since I have a day off today, I'll go check it out. Maybe I can do WW on my own
I just joined last night during the free registration.... Def do it! Im dong it by myself LOL... We dont have the money so I figured Id join and stick to it by myself at home.... They have a basic member kit.. its 25 extra.... I bought it because it has the complete food list book and the complete dining out book which tells you every food you can think of and how many points it has along with every restaurant and the menus and points... Really worth it... Started the diet today and so far so good... Im pretty confident! And if I feel myself fall off or anything Ill just go to a meeting.... Not too bad!

The dining out book is great. The starter kit is worth every penny!! I actually carry the dining out book with me every where I go...lol!! There is also an online version which is cheaper then actually going to meetings. I think it was like $60.00 for 3 months. There are a ton of recipes on the online version and a food journal to keep track of everything. You might want to look into it.

Re: Weight Buddies?
12 is a lot, but I have a lot to lose :( , I gained a lot of weight last year . I watch my sugar, starch, carb ,booze and white flour intake ( all the good stuff ) and I eat protein and veggies
If you are stuck on the last few pounds ( the hardest to lose) you have hit a plateau ( very common when you lose weight) and increasing/changing the amount cardio/ strength training will help . spin class kicks my butt and when I was in good shape I ran / spin class/ Pilates

You won't gain it back...i promise. The first couple of weeks you will be losing water weight so you could lose anywhere from 2-5lbs. After the first couple of weeks you should lose anywhere from .5-2lbs a week. That is the reccomended weight loss. Congrats on the weight loss!!

I wanted to share my favorite weight watchers quote . . . if you always do what you've always done then you'll always get what you always got.

I love that! Or my own favorite personal saying: no pain, no gain. Totally cliche, but very true.
