Re: Weight Buddies?
Actually are there any LI to city commuters? I'm just wondering how you squeeze in the workout?
I'm barely conscious as it is with the 1.5 hour commute. we're going to be moving so our commute won't be as long, but it won't be until June, and by then I'll only have 1 month to get in shape!
For example, I usually work from 9-7. So in order to get to work on time I have to leave the house at 7:30, and I get home around 8:30 and eat dinner at 9/9:30 which is probably killing my effort to lose weight. In order to get to the gym I have to leave the house at 6.
Any ideas/suggestions?

I do, but my commute isnt as long as yours. I either go later at night after I get home, or I get up early and go to the gym in the city before work. Its just a question of getting into the habit. Maybe a treadmill or exercise bike in the house might make it easier? This way you could save the time to and from the gym, and just shower at home? You wouldnt have to get up as early.

FH is dieting and working out with me too and he is dropping more than a pound a day ... he weighs alot more than me. I am so proud of him but sometimes it makes me feel like im not doing enough. Aww don't feel that way - although I know what you mean! But since he weighs more than you, it makes more sense that he'll lose his weight quicker too. But you should both be proud!! 10lbs already!!

That might be a better idea... I do have an elliptical, but I live on the second floor of a house - I would feel bad that I'm creating so much noise b/c of it. Especially since I would work out in the morning at 6:30ish...
