Weight Loss

Re: Weight Loss

If you don't already, do interval training. If you don't know what it is, basically you do a pretty steady pace for about 2 minutes and then go as hard as you can for 1 minute or 30 seconds. Then 2 minutes steady, 30 second sprint, etc. You can do it with just about anything. The idea is to keep yourself moving and challenging yourself and changing it up to not get into a routine. I have that problem myself.

You could also try doing some classes at the gym like cardio kickboxing or a step class. And definitely do weight if you dont already.

If all else fails, get a trainer until the wedding. Even if you only do 1 session a week, s/he can at least give you some ideas of what to do when you're working out on your own. Or better yet, loiter around the training area at your gym and see what kinds of things they're doing with their clients and steal them!

Womenshealthmag.com also has some pretty good workouts that are pretty challenging

I just came back from the gym. My friend and I tried something different.
We did 15 min rotating incline and lunges
5 pound free weights on each arm 8 reps 3 sets
50 jumping jacks
arm curls 8 reps 3 sets
arm presses
leg lifts
10 min running on tredmill
some weight training for arms that I am unsure of the proper term for it lol
ended with HITT on tredmill for 10 min

What do you think MrsDrink?

that sounds good to me but personally i like to break down my workouts by body part so I make sure I am hitting each muscle...rather than just doing 'arms' I would do chest and triceps on one day..or shoulders.this way you are really working those muscles, ya know?

what if you only go to the gym 3 days a week? There is no way I could do 4 or 5 days....its hard enough to get my butt there 3! I stopped taking the classes my gym offered because I've been going for 3 or 4 months and I honestly see no change, its really discouraging! I've kinda been doing my own thing now, weights elliptical, crunches, trying to eat better...I just wish I enjoyed this stuff.

Hey, you do what you can do! I was findng that if i went after work it would be impossible for me to go 5-6 days a week..so I go before work. This way I have no excuses! What about getting a DVD for at home on days that you can't get to the gym? The key is to find workouts that you enjoy doing. Do you like bike riding? What about kickboxing? Or urban rebounding?

the dvds for at home workout is a great idea. I did this all the time. Sometimes the thought of having to get dressed, go back out, go to the gym then come home makes ppl unmotivated. This way when you can just do it right at home, start then and there when you want.

Exercise on demand is great, everyone has this channel. They have so many workouts and all different types

what channel is this?? i have optimum online..thanks!
