Okay so I dont really need to lose too much weight...just trying to lose 5 lbs and tone up. I have been working out 4-5 times a week at the gym. Basically taking the cardio and body sculpting classes...so Ive been combining cardio with weights, abs, etc. I am eating healthy and drinking water, etc. I actually gained a few lbs since I started! I'm assuming this is muscle weight since I have been watching what I eat. Can anyone add any suggestions to what I can do to speed up the process a little bit? Am I missing something? Thanks.

Re: Weight loss question??
It could be water weight from the new exercise regimen.
BUT, my biggest suggestion would be to take a look at your portion sizes for your food. I know you said you're eating healthy, but if your portions are out of wack, you can still gain weight on healthy food. Exercise alone doesn't help us lose weight. You have to combine it with portion control.

Re: Weight loss question??
This was happening to me too. Where I was working out at least 3-4 days a week, even working with a personal trainer and I just could not understand why I wasn't losing any weight and even gaining 1-2 pounds! I also thought could this be muscle, already?
I was beyond frustrated, but then I was really trying to see what I was eating. I noticed my appetite did increase. But, thought that’s only because I am burning more. I was also eating very healthy and was following WW (partially), but estimating in my mind the portions and never weighing anything or keeping track on paper. I thought its all healthy foods. Since then I have been very consistent with weighing all of my foods, writing everything down, and I have noticed a difference. I started this new approach this week and have seen the scale go down.
So, for me I knew that was the problem. I also think in my mind I may of thought since I have increased my workout, I would still see a weight loss. 100% agree that its all about what you are eating and portion control. I would start writing everything down to keep track of what you are eating, and even if you only have to lose 5 lbs - I think WW is a great way to help keep track of what you are eating and really helps with portion control.

I wasn't going to say anything about WW, because I don't like to push it on people that don't ask about it.....but I agree. Whether you have 5 pounds or 50 pounds to lose, WW can help you do it. (That's the leader AND member in me talking. My previous post was just the leader talking )

UGHH that happens to me too! I work out and eat really good and I don't lose anything. I feel like I lose more weight when I am not obsessing over it. Maybe you need more protein in your diet? Sorry I can't really help, I have the same problem. I get so frustrated that I give up.
