I just myself recently. First time. They weighed me and looks like I don't need to loose much because I am not passed my weight limit for my height range but for me I want to loose weight and just eat better! I cannot do it on my own and my problem is the portions that I eat. I have to learn to cut it down and what I need more of is to do exercise.

I'm just getting back into it, so I really don't have set meal plans. I just wanted to share a tip I learned that helped me with points -
Pick your favorite meal of the day and start counting points then.
for me it's dinner so I'd start at night, then whatever was left I'd use for breakfast and lunch.

Excellent Idea!

Re: Weight watchers- what are your meals on a typical day?

When I was on weight watchers, I would go by this menu plan on most days:
Breakfast
3 egg whites 1 point

snack
1 apple 2 points

lunch
big salad with plenty of greens and veggies, with vinegar, salt and pepper 0 points. Add some chicken in there for 3 to 4 points.

snack
Tea with skim and sweet and low or splenda

Dinner
Chicken, or fish with veggies, salad, and small baked potato

snack
2 point bar
or
fat free pudding
or
sugar free jello with fat free cool whip
or
italian ices 2 to 3 points
or fat free brownie made by nutritious creations. 2 or 3 points.

Drink plenty of water. Try to avoid soda and juices. If you drink coffee or tea, add skim milk, and splenda or sweet and low....for sweetness.

Re: Weight watchers- what are your meals on a typical day?

The other night I had a small chicken cutlet and a cup size serving of pasta with sauce. Now do i count points for the pasta and then points for the sauce? How many points was that exactly? and how many points was that small chicken cutlet?

Also.... are those frozen SmartOnes meals helpful? cuz I plan on putting them into my schedule with a cup of chicken broth which is worth no points.

How much is a complete slice of pizza? Cuz they have all these measurements and i'm confused...I just want to know how many points a regular size is.

If anyone can help me that would be great because I am new at this........

Yes, I believe you count the points for what ever amount of pasta you had. If you had 1 cup, that is 4 points. If it is whole wheat Pasta, I believe it is 3 points per cup. I'm not sure how many points you should give for the sauce. I believe you would have to pull all the ingrediants apart and figure out the points according to whats in the sauce.

As for the smart ones meals, I only eat them as a last resort. I leave a few of them in the freezer for nights when I was too lazy to cook dinner, or lunch on the weekends. I really dont like to eat them everyday, because of the high amount of salt that they contain.

A regular slice of Pizza is 6 points. It used to be 9 points, but that changed when the flex points were created. When I was on WW, I would eat a slice pf regular pizza, and a slice of salad pizza with no cheese for my dinner every saturday night. I weighed in Saturday morning.

I hope this helped you.

Oh wow it's only 6 points! I thought it was like 13...LOL....Oh great I can have it Saturday night...oh i'm so excited. God I hope i am doing this right because it is so hard to count these damn points! This is my first week so do you think that if I do well enough I can loose something? Maybe one pound. I do 20 situps every night.

Would you happen to know how many points that small cutlet was? I just had a small cheese quesidilla. It was so good and so worth the 5 points! LOL

A small chicken cutlet is 4 points. If it is breaded, then you have to add the points for the breading in.

I am sure you will lost some weight the first week, if you have been going by the plan.

Are you using your flexpoints too? Do not be afraid to use them, you will still lose weight, and sometimes you will lose more.

Just be careful not to eat past 8pm, and try not too eat anything to sweet or salty at night.

It is very important to drink plenty of water. Divide your weight in 2 and that is the amount of water in ounces you should drink a day.

I have a yummy recips for WW. Boil your choice of pasta, until it is cooked. Take a can of Chicken broth and heat it up. Sautee your choice of veggies. I usually use Onions, garlic, peppers, mushrooms, and broccoli. Put your pasta in a bowl. How ever many cups you like. Add soup, and top with veggies. When Danielle makes this, she doesnt use any oil in the veggies. She sautees them with the soup. You can top this with grate low fat parm cheese if you like. It is yummy and filling.

It was breaded but I dont know how many points it was. I didn't make it. The soup sounds good! What kind of chicken broth? or does it matter as long as it's low fat? I like the country inn broths...yum

Also what size was the can so I know.

Am I being a pest with my questions!

no you are not being a pest. It is good that you are asking questions. I think it is the middle size can. I cant think of how many ounces are in it now. You can use as much as you like. I believe the soup is 0 points.

Re: Weight watchers- what are your meals on a typical day?

Great thanks. It's no points no matter how many cups of broth you have right? Like if where to have 2 cups of broth that's still 0 points? Only the noodles have points.

Re: Weight watchers- what are your meals on a typical day?

I will try to have the SmartOnes meals like twice a week but I want to try and make the WW receipe for garden vegetable soup. It's 0 points per serving so I can have like 3 cups of it and it's still 0 points...I love soup!
