My co-worker and her boyfriend live together and are expecting their 1st child. I know that they are having MAJOR problems and I honestly don't know if they are gonna survive this whole thing and stay together. I already made out the envelope address labels and inner envelope labels. Her name is the only name for the outer, but for the inner, I wrote 'Jane & Bob' b/c I had assumed she'd bring him, obviously. Now that I know they are having issues - should I change it to say 'Jane & Guest???' Not sure what to do?

Re: Weird Invite Etiquette Question
since they are still together I'd keep his name as not to offend them.

Re: Weird Invite Etiquette Question
I would not change it until they were broken up for good. If they happen to break up and you already sent it I am sure she would understand why his name was on it. But if they are living together I suggest keeping his name on it

Re: Weird Invite Etiquette Question
Well, when i wasn't engaged-they would put vickie and guest-and we've been together 7 yrs and as soon as i got engaged they put Vickie V...and Soto A... so it'd put it as guest. lol it's safe.

Re: Weird Invite Etiquette Question
I would leave it Jane & Bob. If the outer envelope only has Jane's name on it, she is the one invited and Bob is the guest. Putting Bob's name on the inner envelope shows respect and acknowledgement of their serious relationship. Not that he is explicitly invited. JMO

I would leave it alone unless she tells you differently

Re: Weird Invite Etiquette Question
I would leave his name on it. They are still together and you never know they might be until your wedding.
