Weird (maybe TMI) Question about Unwanted Hair

Original post by fujamaga

What is everyone doing for their armpit and lip hair wedding wise?

The reason I ask is because when I shave my armpit, I can still see somewhat of the hair color left (maybe I'm not a good shaver). And when I wax my lip, it usually breaks out with bumps.

I don't want to look like crazy, unshaven, bumpy bride....

anyone gonna wax their legs for wedding/HM?? I was thinking about doing this but it seems like it's gonna hurt so bad!

its funny bc as a teenager i didnt start off with shaving, i started with waxing and thats all i did for years. Unfortunately in the summers its a bit hard bc you have to let the hair grow in a little before waxing it, so unfortunately i do shave now. But it will hurt a little only bc of what i said above that if you have been shaving an area for a while and then start waxing it the hair follicles are thicker now. But its pain that you can resist. Take 2 adviles 30 mins before and it does help alot

Is it worth it??

it depends on you, i know some people can shave and not grow hair back for a while and look nice and smooth. Others shave and it grows back immediately. Its not that painful though, its just that one second where its a little uncomfortable but you do get nice smooth legs PLUS if you go on your HM right after you wont have to worry about shaving on your HM bc with waxing it takes weeks to about a month for the hair to grow back

I get my eyebrows and upper lip threaded usually....waxed if I can't make it to my regular threading place. threading is really the best...see i you can have it done.

For my wedding I'm shaving my legs and pits and I might get my arms waxed...yes I said arms. While I've never minded my arm hair I don't want it in my pics.

Only the second after they pull the strips, then it's over. Take a advil beforehand it helps.

eh, i don't think that would be necessary but it sounds interesting....all she really has to do is just put her hand down on the skin she just pulled and just like, hold it, and then i'm fine. Cursing her on the inside, but I'm fine.

Only one way to find out.

Seriously though, it's not THAT bad. Does it sting like a biitch when she pulls? of course, but the pain lasts a second and then it's over.....and then no more shaving for a couple weeks. To me that's well worth a few minutes of pain.
